I switched on the phone which had been off ever since I left Nate and Ash behind.

Zoe had caught a bit on to the fact that what I was about to do was definitely and really dangerous.

I am in LA, where is Ethan?

I texted whoever it was that held him captive.

Unknown number - Good now. I will text you the address.

He texted me an address and I started driving.

When we were almost there I stomped on breaks and looked at Zoe.

"Listen, Zoe! I know you don't like me, but just listen to me this once. Don't get out of the car. If I don't come back out in an hour or so take it back to California and don't tell anyone where you left me. Oh and also please give Ethan a lift if I am able to save him." I said in a hurry fumbling with my seat belts.

"Who is Ethan? Rose where are you going? What do you mean?" I did not answer her.

She kept her rant on but I ignored her.

Instead, I went and searched under the left seat in a slash carved by Nate himself where I was sure to find what I was looking for. My hand closed around the cold metal. Zoe gasped.

"What the fuck are you gonna do with that?" she said her hand on her heart and eyes wide as an animated raccoon looking wildly at the gun in my hand.

"Yeah ignore that, do as you are told. Don't stay here too long, this area doesn't seem safe." I said waving my gun in front of her to scare her.

I stuck the gun in my waistband and hid it with the top and started jogging to the address this person had texted me.

It wasn't far from where I had parked, also this area was real shady, this place was exactly the kind of neighborhood your parents might warn you about.

I stopped in front of the building I was supposed to go inside. I looked around and found a battered van parked beside it.

The windows had broken glasses but the bars behind the glass looked recently installed.

I patted my jeans to look for my phone and was horrified to realize that I had left it in the car.

I looked in through the window and sure enough there he was, tied to a chair and by the way his head was hanging he looked unconscious.

Ethan looked badly hurt, he had bloody cheek bone, bruised eye, and a bloody lip, there were shadows under his eyes, his clothes were simple and very very dirty, hairs were untidy and messy too, and then I noticed the amount of blood on this white T-shirt as well as the scars traveling down from his sleeves, red angry looking scars. But why was he alone? Something was wrong here.

'Well, no turning back now,' Dunkers said in my head.

I went to the main door and tried the handle, it was unlocked.

I slowly opened the door and cringed at the creaking. I was counting on creeping in and getting him out if he was unguarded.

But the moment I entered someone kicked me on the shoulder and I hit the metal door. I groaned and got ready for whoever it was. His face was covered in a black mask and by the structure of his body, he looked in his early thirties.
