Youniverse

"Youniverse"

When I was still a little girl,
I used to wonder;
is the universe just made up of stars,
sun, moons, and planets
or it's vignette is something deeper,
even beyond the capacity of brain to think of?

Is it really surrounded by fascinating lights
or it's just a vast of black firmament
and it's our eyes that play with us
making us see millions of blinking lights?
Or maybe it's mesmerizingly beautiful when we're happy,
and it is nothing but darkness when we are sad.

And then,
you came.
Like a shooting star passing through the Earth,
like the waves that visit the shore,
like the wind that makes the trees dance,
like a lightning striking my heart.

I think this is the vignette I'm looking for;
beyond the capacity of the brain to think of,
but easily articulated by heart.
It isn't something seen like those stars
but something felt
that completed the voidness of universe in me.

The moment I saw you,
your tears, smiles, and flaws,
my heart leaped a beat.
Those celestial bodies were nothing
compared to your perfect flaws.
Their universe is nothing compared to my youniverse.
