"If I Turn Eighteen"
And if I turn eighteen,
will you be there amongst the coterie
and wait for your turn
to hand me a rose and be my last dance with our heartbeat as the melody?
And if I turn eighteen,
will you be with me
peregrinating around the world
like what you promised when I was fourteen?
And if I turn eighteen,
will you do nasty things with me
and provide answers for my curiosity
because you once told me that I am your favorite responsibility.
And if I turn eighteen,
will you still be patient in guiding me
because in the world of adults
I'm still an outlander.
And after I turned eighteen,
will you still stay for the next years
and wait till I'm a full grown woman
so we can marry each other like what you've told me when I was sixteen?
