"Longest Night"
They say that tonight
is the longest night.
I told them that it doesn't
feel that special nor different
because it's the same, old night
wherein I'm feeling sad and blue
and my every night always feel
so long without you.
Actually, for me
clock's hands have been moving
so slow for the passed months
and time runs slower
than it used to be.
Maybe because, like what people say,
time is slow for those who wait;
I am one of them.
I've been waiting for you to come back to me
and since then, I've noticed changes,
that because of your absence in my life;
seconds suddenly felt like minutes;
minutes felt like hours;
hours felt like days;
days felt like weeks;
weeks felt like months; and
months felt like years.
The longest night felt normal
because after all
time has been long
since you left me alone.
