I soaked myself under the shower,
pretending that it was a pouring rain
for I want to wash away the memories
of you and your lover dancing under the sun's rays.

I've watched you keep her under your shadows
to protect her from the blinding lights
while I was there, in the middle of the park,
having my skin burned as if thrown holocaust.

I've heard you sing her songs and lullabies
of your cherished band and artists
while I am here, getting deaf and muted,
listening to the monsters created by my head.

I saw you write and craft poems and proses,
all were about your profound love for her
while all those pieces I made dedicated for you
were left inside a caddy, cobwebbed and almost forgotten.

I've long time ago had my eyes on you,
my heart had been repeatedly uttering your name, too.
All of my wishes and prayers include having you,
but do I shout too low or heavens above are wearing earphones?

They say that falling in love freely
is like having happiness for eternity
but I only feel twinge and agony,
mayhap it will change if you will love me.

I did everything but why can't you see me?
Not even once you had laid your eyes on me,
and I know that I'm not a beauty,
but can't you like someone who's genuine and can offer you honesty?

All of my whys, what ifs, and hows were left unanswered
that sometimes I just want to stab your chest
rip it apart and ask your heart;
