Now that we have Disney+ and can watch all of our favorite classic Disney shows I chose to watch Wizards of Waverly place first. Now I love this show even with its flaws and continuity issues. But boy I cant stand Alex Russo. Selena Gomez did an amazing job at playing her and portraying the rude, rebel, I give no fucks character but she is the worst person to be around. She manipulates everyone and everything and never seems to learn her lesson. Even when shes being sincere shes over it in a few minutes. Justin works 10 times harder than her but hes the one always put down and don't even get me started on how she became the family wizard. She constantly manipulates Max who is stupid but doesn't deserve it. I'm currently in season 3 episode 5 where Alex tries to get rid of continence (played by Rico from Hanna Montana who i LOVE) all because hes not being a lazy slacker like her anymore. She can never make herself better, she has to drag everyone else to her level so shell look good in comparison. And she treats Harper like shit. I still don't get how they spun these two as best friends. Harper gains nothing from being with Alex. From what I've seen Harper has other friends, is amazing in school, a cheerleader and could probably get a boyfriend if she got over Justin. She was there as a pawn for Alex to use. Harper's life would probably be 100% better without Alex in it. It doesn't even seem like Alex knows Harper half the time. Anyway I know this is all fake but I found it really interesting how we were able to love such an unlovable character (at least in my opinion she is.) Zeke is my favorite BTW.
