Phones in school

Now for the most part I think phones should not be allowed in schools. Let me explain....

I'm a high school sophomore and i tell you that the people in my school can not survive without their phones for 2 minutes. Class, bathroom, hallways, stairwells, FUCKING FIREDRILLS. Its not everyone but the amount is ridiculous. I'm in class right now but my teachers not here so its a free period so using your phone is fine. But its crazy how many times teachers have to tell students to get off. You may ask why do i care? Its not my life, let them do what they want. Because it pisses me off. The blatant disrespect is disgusting. I will never understand how you can yell at teens to get off their phones and they continue to just say fuck you and don't care. Now there is this sub in my school that seemingly hates phones and shes always telling us to get off of them. But if its a free period and the teacher left no work then i'm allowed to be on my phone. But its these assholes that have no damn respect. If you don't like a teacher fine but they're doing their job which is to teach and you couldn't give less of a fuck. Our AP exam is in 3 days (At the time I wrote this) and while my teacher is trying to review our practice test that many didn't do well on these idiots are still sitting their not paying attention phone in hand. I don't care if you did good on the practice test and i don't care if you don't care about the AP exam but that doesn't mean you don't have to listen and do whatever the fuck you want.

I just feel bad for teachers and school staff in general. People don't listen and they get labeled bitches or assholes because their doing their jobs. Especially security guards because we have a new rule about not being on your phones or having headphones even in your ears in the hallways anymore, only on the first floor. But somehow they get blamed for doing their jobs. Which leads me into my next chapter.
