Men are completely over looked in the realm of Domestic abuse. I just don't mean physical, I mean emotional and mental as well. Women are allowed to yell at men, degrade them, bring up old shit to hurt them that's not even relevant anymore, threaten them etc. Its just written off as oh she's emotional or she's passionate, no fuck off. Women get in men's faces yell and talk shit but the moment the guy talks back or physically defends himself hes an abuser and "you should never lay your hand on a women." That's bullshit, men should be able to defend themselves no matter man or women, whether she's small or not. You put your hands on someone don't complain or say shit when they do the same. So many times women are like if I find him doing this (like cheating) I'm going to beat his ass, he better not come home blah blah but I dont care if you cheat it doesn't mean you deserve to be abused. If you abuse a women fuck you, if you abuse a man fuck you. It goes both ways. I feel more often than not women will say anything to get the man to feel terrible about himself. Chipping at his self esteem, lowering his self worth and confidence. This happens over time and often goes unseen because there's no bruises so he must be fine right? Happy wife happy life, make sure you treat your girl like a princess. Men should not be told it's okay to be hit or degraded by a women or shamed for it because they're worth so much more than that. This also goes for teen boys, it sucks seeing them in shitty relationships with annoying bitchy girls that dont put in the same effort. But most likey if he broke up with her all her friends would treat him like shit and make his life hell, its disgusting.
