Personally, I find male singers voices more appealing than women's. Don't get me wrong, there are so many amazing female vocalists but I find male vocalists better. They don't all sound the same which I think a lot of female singers do and they have more of a range. I also feel that guys can pull of the more raspy singing voice than females can. I listen to mainly bands who are of course headed by guys. The specific genre I listen to, metal-core, is dominated by men. Again there are god female unclean vocalist but I just think men sound better. It also comes down to image. There was a picture of Ed Sheeran in jeans and a tee and Beyoncé in an extravagant outfit. The caption said society's expectation for men vs. Women or something along those lines which caused a debate in the comments. Maybe it is and maybe it isn't but males voices seem to hold their own better. They don't have to be extra or wear crazy clothes to get the deserved attention.
