Imagine being Cat's neighbor and her calling you whenever she needs help babysitting.

"Mia stop!! I'm trying to get the baby to sleep!" Cat whisper-shouts to the 8 year-old girl currently running around the kitchen clashing toys left and right.

Cat cradled the small crying baby against her, stressed out after many attempts of trying to calm down the baby.

Sam had left an hour earlier to who knows where after getting frustrated with the other 2 children currently knocked out in their bedroom. This left Cat with the mischievous little girl Mia, who has been the one of the most disobedient kid they've babysat.

Cat had no idea what to do. Sam was gone, their was a screaming baby in her arms, and a little girl who won't listen to save her life. In times like this, you would've been their by now, but Cat felt guilty calling you every time something went wrong.

After all her and Sam prided themselves in being "professionals", right?

You were in your apartment doing chore when you heard your phone go off in the other room. You hoped it wasn't that kid Sikowitz paired you up with for class. He was... creepy to say the least.

You pick it up to hear a distressed Cat frantically call your name.

"Y/N!! Y/N!! It's me, Cat! I need your help!" Her voice was drowned out by the sound of a child's laughter and a screaming baby.

"I'll be over in a minute, alright Kit Cat?" You say, grabbing your purse and a spare diaper bag for situations like this.

Cat giggles at her nickname you had given months prior, and a smile couldn't help but creep on your lips at the sound of her angelic laugh.

"Kay Kay, but hurry!"

You walk into the home expecting the house to be a wreck, and it was, but you had seen worse. Way worse.

Cat was swaying the baby in her arms attempting to calm it down while trying to get a pair of scissors out of Mia's hands. Her face looked tired and you were a bit ticked off Sam bad left her alone.

You set your things down and stomp your way towards the little girl running with the scissors.

"Hey!" Your voice boomed, immediately catching her attention. Even the baby looked shocked.

"Set those scissors down right now." Growing up with little siblings you knew how they worked and sternness was the key sometimes.

She puts them on the coffee table, looking up at you with big brown eyes. Cat sighed in relief, but then the baby began to cry again.

"Let me see, take care of this one here," you say, giving Mia a little tickle to the shoulder earning a giggle from her.

Cat hands you the baby, and you could immediately feel a wet diaper. After changing him, you sang a soft tune to calm him down before he finally passed out in his mobile crib. Mia passed out as well, and you and Cat give each other loving looks before heading out to her back porch.

"How do you do that?!" She asks, tugging your arm. You smile, shrugging.

"You just have to be patient, I guess."

Cat giggles, before interlocking her hands in yours. Though you weren't "officially" dating, it seemed like it to you.

Sneaking quick kisses when no one looks, holding hands, making up random excuses just to see each other.

"Thanks for coming to help me Y/N it means a lot and I'm sorry if it's annoying or-"

You cut her off by quickly pecking her cheek, a blush covering both of your faces.

"It's no problem, Cat. I.. I would do anything for you, to be honest." Her brown eyes widen a bit, and her plush lips form a smile.

"Really..?" You nod, both of your arms slowly finding their way around your bodies.

For a moment their is just silence as you analyze Cat's face, trying to figure out her thoughts somehow.

"Kiss me."

"I just did."

"No! On.. on the lips this time." You couldn't hide your blush as your eyes go from hers to her lips that did look so kissable. You'd imagined your first kiss many times but this definitely wasn't what you had in mind.

Without another thought, your lips meet in a kiss, you could feel Cat's smile against your own.

"That was great!" She gives her famous laugh, her hands shooting in the air. You laugh, your eyes trailing down the floor as a lingering question still floated in your head.

"So.. Are we you know.. a couple?" You ask. The red head shyly twirls her hair, not making eye contact.

"Only if you want to. I really really like you. And my nickname." She adds, giggling.

You smile, going to give her another kiss before you hear a chorus of 'ewws' behind the glass door. The two other kids had woken up,

You two give each other a look, laughing before going back inside and handling the kids.

About two hours later the kids all finally go home, Cat collapsing on your lap the minute the door shuts.

"Freedom!" She raises her fist in the air, causing you to chuckle.

"Mind if I stay for a bit? My parents work all night." She springs up, a huge smile plastered on her face.

"Of course!! I'll make popcorn and we can watch movies and play games and talk and ..." She trails off going to get everything as you sort of tune out her ramblings and look at the red headed beauty before you.
