Hanji's POV

"Alright... Eren?" I chuckled softly, seeing he just finished dinner and had food all over his face. With a clean napkin, I wiped his chubby cheeks and smiled brightly. "You just had your bath, can I have my bath?"

He shakes his head mischievously, "No! I wanna watch a movie!"

"A movie?!" I chuckled more, making my voice sound sarcastic. "Awe, okay then... what kind of movie would you like to watch then, my prince?"

His emerald eyes look up towards the TV- making a very interesting noise as he thought about the whole thing. "I-I wanna watch... uh... the one with the Legos!" He jumps with glee and happiness, and I laughed along. Deep in my heart, this didn't feel like a babysitting job. He felt like he was my child.

"Alrighty then. But if you watch your movie, I gotta take a shower and a small nap. Can you handle yourself for the whole movie? When it's done, you need to wake me up. Okay? Then I'll help tuck you in bed."

Eren nods, giggling. "Okay!"

"Okay then. It's a deal."

It was a little over 20 minutes as I set Eren up for the TV. As the deal went on, I showered in Levi's bathroom- feeling a huge wave of relief as the warm water pounded against my skin. My eyes grew heavy as I was exhausted- I needed sleep. Staying under the water, I lathered myself with soap and washed my hair. This small scent of strawberries filled my nose- and I usually hated it. But, whatever.

My body was dried down, and I covered myself with shorts and an extra-large shirt. There was TV noises from the living room, and I didn't want to distract Eren from his movie- so I climbed into bed and laid my glasses to the side. A few seconds later, I closed my eyes and quickly fell into this quick slumber.

"Hanji!" I jumped to hearing my name, panting softly when I saw Levi barge into the room. Eren was clinging onto his left arm, trying to hide his little chuckle. "Hanji, what happened?"

"E-Eh... what? Levi? I-I thought you were at that-". His frightful tone filled the room, and I saw his serious side of him. He pushed me into the bed, staring me with his intense, stormy eyes. How they stared me down, almost examining my soul. "L-Levi?"

"What... happened?"

"N-Nothing happened!" I gasped, looking around confusingly. "L-Last I remembered was that I was helped Eren with the TV, I showered, and I slept! Levi, what are you talking about? Nothing happened!"

He then changed his gaze over to Eren, "He called me from your phone. Saying something was wrong with you."

"What? No. I told him I was gonna take a nap." I put on my glasses to see everything much clearly. He was shyly hiding himself away from Levi, looking at me. His emerald eyes were full of innocence, almost like he was trying to do something out of kindness. "We had a deal- once the movie was over... he would wake me up. I had no idea he went on my phone."

Levi sighed heavily, kneeling to Eren. "Go to your room."

"But-".

Eren tried to say something else, but Levi sternly told him what to do. "Go to your room. We'll talk about this in a few minutes. I expect you to be ready for bed."

I didn't like seeing that unhappiness in Eren, but he did make that phone call to his father. I wasn't aware of it. Eren slowly walked out of the bedroom, trying to give that one last innocence look towards me before he disappeared into the hallway. My mouth opened to speak, but Levi cut me off.

"Nothing was wrong then? I was overreacting."

"I shouldn't have taken a nap. I was... too exhausted and I didn't want to-".

"Stop right there." Gasping softly, Levi turned to me, sighing heavily. "I shouldn't have gone. Stupid... just stupid..."

This tension of stress and anger had engulfed him- swarming and almost emanating from him. Unconsciously, I reached out for him. My arms wrapped around him, and I held him close. "Levi..." My voice was lowered into this sweet tone, and it seemed to calm his storm.

"Give me a second- I need to tuck in the little monster." He didn't need to say anything about anything else- I just knew he wanted to stay with me. Reluctantly, he walked away to Eren's room. Sleep was overtaking me again, and I put my glasses to the side -once more- and fell back asleep.

The bed-sheets moved, and it woke me from my slumber. Warm arms wrapped around me, pulling me back. Gasping softly, I didn't know who it was and what was going on. But his voice comforted me as he spoke ever so softly in my ear. I nearly fell for his deep, romantic voice- probably it's because I've never heard him speak like that.

"It's just me, Hanji... just me..."

A soft chuckle released from my throat, nuzzling behind me. "I see, Levi..." That's when I felt his hands on my waist. Small groans were released, and I couldn't think about all the things that might happen tonight. "L-Levi?"

"Can I tell you something, Hanji?"

"Yeah..." He couldn't see it, but I had this soft smile on my face. Never was I ever held like this... never was I ever treated like this. Was this what Levi's last lover felt? I know she wasn't his wife- there was no wedding ring around or photos of their wedding day. She must've been a girlfriend. a grieving person would've kept the happiest memories up- and there was none but simple photos. "You can tell me whatever."

He groans softly, leaning his head on my shoulder. A shiver was sent down my back as his hands accidentally draped down onto my thighs. "Eren told me... that he called me because... he didn't want me finding a mom for him."

"But... doesn't he want a mom? That's what he told me."

"Eren's... unique. He already found the mom he wanted."

"Who is it?"

A soft chuckle came from Levi, signalling me that I knew exactly who he was talking about. "You, of course."
