Levi's POV

"This does feel nice, not having to worry that much about Iris..." Her beautiful smile appeared on her face as we began through the last date's dinner. I thought of everything to keep her smile throughout the whole night. Not wanting her to worry one bit tonight. "Is this how you feel whenever you go out on dates?"

I chuckled, drinking some water. Hated the fact that these restaurants doesn't sell black tea. "I've said this before, and I'll say it again: I have never been looking out for love since his mother's death. I didn't dare to do so."

"But here you are..."

"Here I am indeed."

I've been pushing it for far too long. That guilt of not proposing to her became a stone that sunk in the sea of my emotions. I had to fish it out, and resolve the problem. That's why the stone in my metaphor was the ring in its box. When we were waiting to be seated, Hanji wanted to take a call outside to talk to the babysitter and Eren one last time before having dinner with just me, and it was my time to give the ring to our waiter for him to hide the ring in our champagne during dinner. After that, he led us to our table.

"Levi, you heard me?"

Twitching a bit, I looked back to Hanji to see her hand reaching out to me. "Huh? Sorry, got busy... thinking too much of Eren and Iris..."

Hanji chuckles softly, nodding her head. "Now I'll start worrying if you're beginning to think of them." Don't understand how it worked, but it worked. "Anyways... um... Levi..."

I looked up towards her, seeing her carefully nudging her plate. How nervous she was... she seriously can't be pregnant again... it's too soon. I didn't have a chance to recover from having Iris in my care. Maybe from now on, it's condoms. Just until we're ready to have kids again. Luckily, I was saved for a bit as our dinner served. Instead of her having the worrying face, I had mine. When the meal was served, the champagne would be served soon. My heart was racing when I waited for it to come... and I waited to see her reaction.

She smiled gently, and I saw those glasses. My eyes darted to one of them, and I saw the ring at the bottom of the glass. The diamond was sitting up, and my hands was beginning to sweat. It was time. Would she reject me? I did so much work for this... I can't let this go to waste. Hanji, please accept it. Accept me as your husband... accept me as your family. We have Iris together, and Eren is your son as well. I'll be the man you wanted. I love you...

At least, those were the words I wanted to say to her if she was thinking of rejecting me. My head nodded a bit- just to confirm what to say if she says no.

"Your drinks." The waiter says, handing the glass with the ring to Hanji and the other to me.

Hanji smiled and nodded her head gingerly. "Thanks." The waiter then makes his leave and Hanji turned her head to Levi. She picks up the glass -not looking inside- and sniffs it. "I thought this was alcoholic, but I guess you knew. This isn't champagne. Sparkling apple cider?"

"Yeah, but I get the alcohol this time." I chuckled softly, waiting for her to drink it.

She does so- and her eyes grew wide when she saw what was inside. Using her fork, she fished out the ring and smiled brightly. "Levi..."

"So? Will you say yes and be a part of my family? Be the mother of Eren and Iris? Be my wife?"

I nearly struggled to say those words, nearly jumbling them up when I felt those thousand stares of other people on us. My eyes made contact with the ring in her palm. Now or never... now or never...

Years passed when I waited for her next actions. Her long, slender fingers reached for the ring, and placing it on her left ring finger. That smile I could never forget... how it was being grilled into my head. This was one of the best moments in my life.

"Yes... I say yes to your proposal."

That wave of applause and joy erupted from the staring eyes. Hanji chuckles softly; a small blush on her cheeks grew and grew. Her caramel eyes glinting with so much happiness... I always wanted to keep that going. Now that was left... was a wedding.

"Promise me that you'll be forever mine..." I say, smiling a natural smile.

"I promise."
