Chapter 7: Last Night

Hanji's POV

My limbs felt weak from what happened last night. I tried to move, but nearly fell down. The hair on my body rose, and I turned to see why. Eren was peaking through the door, and I jumped with fear- ensuring I covered myself with blankets.

"E-Eren!"

Levi slowly moved and I heard him speak to his son. "Eren? What are you doing?"

"I-I'm hungry..." As the child spoke, I reached for my glasses and saw him holding his stomach. My head swerved back to Levi as he shook his head. "I-I don't know how to get the cereal..."

Levi sighed heavily, nodding his head. "Alright, alright. Go sit in at the dining table- I'll be there in a few seconds." Eren started to leave without closing the door- "Eren, close the door as well."

"Yes Dad..."

He returns to close the door, and we were left together- alone in the room. "At least he wasn't standing next to the bed..." I chuckled, trying to give this a sense of humor into the room. Hey... Levi..." Levi started to get out of the bed and walking to his drawers. 

He looks at me as he puts on simple clothing: boxers, shorts, and a t-shirt. "I'll be right back- just gotta feed the little monster." He then walks over, kissing my lips and smirking. "Then we can talk about everything."

Why did I giggle softly like a little girl...? When he left for Eren, I laid in bed with only the blanket covering me. A little later, Levi walks back into the room with this amusement smile on his face. I smiled too, reaching for him as I held the blanket close to my chest.

"Shouldn't we talk about... what happened last night?" I asked gently as he sits down. He takes one of my hands and held it tightly.

"What's there to talk about?" His face was full of a smug enjoyment- perhaps he was thinking about the whole event- picturing it all in his head again. "We slept together."

I chuckled, snuggling close to him. "Well... we didn't exactly have protection... what if I get pregnant because of it?" My eyes looked down at my stomach, thinking about it. He did release in me- so of course I should be worried. We were practically strangers- or just acquaintances. 

"I'll handle it. I wouldn't mind having another kid- unless you're against it."

"No no, not that. I'm totally up for kids." When it came to that idea, I had to think about Eren. Yes, Levi did say that Eren wanted me as his mother- but was he really ready for me to be a part of his family? Giving him half-siblings? "It's just..."

"Eren?"

I nodded and sighed. "Yeah..."

"I bet he'll be overjoyed- after all... we both love you." My head turned to him, and he instantly kissed my lips. I was being dragged down- or better to say that I was being pushed back into the bed. 

His hands pulled the blanket away, just kissing me. Until, he stopped and pulled away. I felt lost- lost in this darkness without him. "Levi...?"

"Can I ask that we both not work today?" He says with a grin on his face, getting off of me. "Almost forgot we work."

Cursing under my breath, I didn't want to lose this moment- but it would be irresponsible of me. "Dammit... no, we can't just take a day off for free- we would use up our vacation days." I chuckle softly, getting up and letting the blanket slide. "But... I wouldn't mind if we make love in my office later today..."

"And what about Eren?"

"He can stay in your office room while watching a movie... if you don't mind it."

Levi quickly pushed and pulled me into his arms. "Alright, fine..."

"Come in." I say gently as I sorted through the papers at work. Levi was expected to come over in about 2 hours for our little love-making session. In the meantime, I had to work. The door opened slowly, and I smiled joyfully. "Nanaba."

"Hey girl." She chuckles softly, walking into the office and looking around. "New office for the new Hanji Zoe."

I rolled my eyes and chuckle. "It's something new, I'll be honest."

"Not screwing with Erwin anymore, huh?" Hatred slowly filled my mind when I thought of him. "Good, because he was somewhat of a dickwad. And you know what? I haven't seen you this happy for a long time... mostly because you're burdened with that problem. Unless... you're seeing someone, aren't you." I couldn't help it but let a small smirk through. "No way! Tell me."

Leaning into my soft chair, I just chuckled and thought about last night again. "He's... he's actually pretty amazing. Treats me better than any other man could."

Nanaba slowly leans forward with this glean in her eyes. "Oh? Can you tell me more about him?"

"I wouldn't... in case it might interfere between us..." I say gently, feeling my cold arms. I just imagined Levi holding me tightly and kissing my skin. "But... I can say that... I slept with him last night... and it felt wonderful..."

"Already?!" My cheeks grew warm with embarrassment as Nanaba yelled. "Are you serious?! Man, I wanna meet this guy."

"Just... just drop it now..."

Nanaba nodded her head, looking at me crazy. "Alright... wow... already? This guy must be a heart-breaker then. I've never thought of someone taking a girl like you so fast. Last we spoke was when you were grieving over Erwin and when you just got promoted to CEO..."

"I know... things just move so fast."

"Are you sure you're in love with him?"

A heavy sigh reflected my weary mind. Was I really in love with him? Was I veiled in the darkness and only shown what he could do in bed? "I'm hoping... I'm hoping it's true love. Right now, I do love him. I care about him."

Nanaba smiles gently, reaching up for me. "Well hey, I'll beat him up if he doesn't treat the best girl the treatment she deserves. Got it?"

I chuckle softly, knowing she knew everything to make me smile. "I got it, Nanaba."
