Hanji's POV

After the long day, Levi took me to my apartment for awhile. Eren was asleep in the car, and we were planning to go to some fancy restaurant; in other words: dress nicely. Slowly, I went through my closet, picking out outfits that might attract Levi's attention- not that I had his complete attention. I went with something that wasn't... too... showy or too isolated.

Instead, I picked out a long, loose blue dress and a small blue rose pin to go with it. Brown scandals seemed to match, so I grabbed those too. As well as extra pairs of clothes for tonight, since I'm staying with him still. Not for long, I finally grabbed a box of cookies- hoping Eren would be satisfied with them for tonight. Little rascal.

Minutes passed, and we were at their apartment. Once more, Eren had to be carried up to their apartment room. He was so quiet and just... adorable in his sleep. The idea of children swarmed in my head as I realized... Levi and I slept together twice without protection. The likelihood of getting a child was... high.

Would I ever be a good mother? Eren seemed to like me, but that's because he was older. Babies... would I be able to handle them? Instinctively, my hand went over my stomach as I thought of babies in my womb. Would I be afraid or something? What if I couldn't take care of a child? How was Levi able to raise an infant all by himself?

"Hanji."

"Eh?"

Perking up, I saw that Levi was struggling to hold both Eren and the elevator doors. He was halfway out, just staring at me. With the tilt of his head, I understood his message and walked out of the elevators.

"Sorry..." I whispered softly, quickening my pace to match his stride.

"Don't tell you got a pregnancy test and you tested positive..." There was this small hint of a growl in his voice as spoke. Without any other context, no one could tell if he was angry or annoyed with the fact I could've been pregnant.

Yet, I waved off the idea and chuckled. "No, just thinking about what would happen if I was pregnant."

"Not sure if I said this, but I wouldn't mind having another kid. I just... need time to adapt." He stayed silent as he slowly unlocked the door. His mind seemed to be clouded. "For the longest time, I didn't want to find a mom for Eren. Now... he has chosen one and we've been sleeping with each other twice- and we don't know a single thing about each other. It's just... moving too fast."

"I get it. It's moving too fast for me too..." I chuckled softly, looking away and walking inside the apartment once Levi got it open.

"Because you just got promoted to CEO and fell in love with one of your workers? I would be terrified if I was in your position." Levi sighed, laying the sleeping child on a small chair. He shook his head, seeing that he didn't want to wake him yet- because he was just gonna be grumpy when the babysitter gets here.

"Not that exactly..." My mind changed from kids to Erwin. That bastard.

Levi turned around, walking to the kitchen and getting out a tea kettle. "Not exactly? Do tell. It's 4:53 pm and we got lots of time before the reservation and the babysitter. We'll talk it over some black tea."

I chuckled, sitting on one of the stools and looked towards him. "Well, now I know one of your favorite drinks: black tea."

His stormy gray eyes rolled and started to fill the kettle with water. "Well? Tell me."

Reluctantly, I told him about the ex. "It started with... well, the previous CEO: Erwin." His movements stopped once I mentioned Erwin. Did he also affect Levi...? "Levi?"

"What about Eyebrows?"

This time, my eyes rolled around with amusement. "Funny way to give nicknames..." I muttered softly, but began my tale. "Anyways, he was my ex-boyfriend. Kinda started like our relationship. Instead, he offered me a lot of things- but I turned most of them down. But, he started to... somewhat abuse me. Let's just say... he just used me for his own pleasures. Tried to make me his by offering me so much stuff. I didn't want it- I wanted to earn it instead of being his little plaything. Days ago, I caught him in a lie. He cheated on me with some other girl. I asked, for payment, he step down from his position and he stays away from me. It was a deal."

"No wonder... no wonder he left then." Levi mutters under his breath. "Told me that he was stepping down from the position. Nothing else."

I nodded my head, looking to see his reaction. "I'll be completely honest, Levi... I never knew I was going to inherit the position. I would've chosen something else, but... I needed the job. And Erwin... he was just a prick."

Levi went up to me, kissing my instantly. His hands reached out for mine, holding them closely. I wanted to gasp and smile gently to him, but I felt... to weighed down. "Well, you're not a plaything to me, Hanji. I'm truly falling for you..." Levi then chuckled, pushing against me and kissing me more- and then we heard a small, mischievous giggle.

We both turned to that small boy, who seemed to have woken up from his nap. His hands were on his mouth, trying to hide his giggle. "M-Miss Hanji and Dad l-likes each other..."

"You little brat..." Levi's smile grew as he walked over to Eren, picking him up and tickling him. "You nosy little brat. You were taking a nap earlier."

"I-I didn't want to sleep... Miss Hanji was here..."

I chuckled softly with my fingers touching my lips. I didn't mind it at all... seeing a smile on Eren's face. I didn't mind being some sort of parent to him. I didn't mind it at all. If I were to be a mother, I wouldn't regret a single moment of it.
