Sometimes you think there are aspects in life where it feels like a dream.Where you could never imagined that this is all happening.Where you wish that you could wake up and with it the feeling of remorse and sadness and deep emptiness goes with it and you face a sunny day and watch the love of your life prepare your clothes or is sipping her favorite cup of coffee in the corner of the room that she loves so much.
But this is far from a dream-saying goodbye is far from that small sense of hope of goodness of sunny days.
I walk side by side clutching davi's hands as we make our journey down the long road from the castle to the Cathedral where we would say our last goodbye to Serayah.
Every step haunting and daunting as people wept and bow their heads. Some leave their flowers beyond the barricades whlist holding a beautiful white rose in their hands possibly to throw towards the coffin when it passes later.
The day somehow is rainy and cold.A weather that I know Serayah quite enjoy.
"Daddy-Where's mummy?"Its the fifth time davi had asked me that day and I only gave him a smile beyond the tears."She's resting"I answer and gave him a small squeeze on davi's hands as if to try and give me the comfort I so much needed.
Davi and I gave a small wave towards the country and enter the Cathedral where Mrs Witherspon and Serane is upfront comforting one another.
My eyes trained on the white coffin surrounded by the beautiful white and red roses one of the few flowers and roses that Serayah loved.
Serane directed Mrs witherspon to sit as Davi joined them.I however went and once again Serayah as she laid in her final place.
"I'm sorry I failed you-I love you baby girl.May you be in peace and happy with our children and your father-Look out for me and davi my angel-My beautif-ul Angel"
I let a tear slipped and kissed the tip of my fingers before placing it on the glass that act as a barrier between Serayah and I.
The ceremony begins and I made sure that no tear was seen as I sat there but if my eyes could speak it would be the saddest words that spilled.
"A performance by one of Queen Regent Serayah's good friend Alex Winter."
"I um when I received the news-I uhm"Alex weeped."She was my best friend and this is Everglow"
"Well, they say people come
The say people go
This particular diamond was extra special
And though you might be gone, and the world may not know
Still I see you, celestial
And I should but I can't let you go
But when I'm cold, I'm cold
Yeah, when I'm cold
Cold
There's a light that you give me when I'm in shadow
There's a feeling within me, an everglow
Like brothers in blood, or sisters who ride
Yeah we swore on that night we'd be friends 'til we die
But the changing of winds, and the way waters flow
Life is short as the falling of snow
And I'm gonna miss you, I know
But when I'm cold, cold
In water rolled, salt
And I know that you're with me and the way you will show
And you're with me wherever I go
And you give me this feeling, this everglow
What I wouldn't give for just a moment to hold
Because, I live for this feeling, this everglow
So if you love someone, you should let them know
Oh, the light that you gave me will everglow"Serayah was an everglow to the hearts of many-The hearts she touched with her true unique beauty and personality.
Somehow there was a short pause after Alex's performance and it gave me time to look at the gold casket where my angel lies.
