The two boys walk hand-in-hand around the Grand Canyon National Park. Observing the reddish toned structures in the distance. Both of them with opposite views about this experience.

**Noen**

I'm filled with joy right now. The Grand Canyon has always been my dream place to visit ever since I was a child. It just seemed so beautiful in photos and videos and it looks 1000 times better in person. And even better with the love of my life here with me.

**Chase**

I'm internally screeching right now. Heights have always been a problem with me. The highest I'll go is on a Ferris wheel, so this is a new, scary experience for me, but as long as Noen is here, I should be fine. He's made me overcome so much these past few months.

** Flashback to Noen's house**

I locked myself in mine and Noen's room. Screaming at the top of my lungs. Noen smacked the door with full force, screaming 'Chase what's wrong'
'There's a fucking spider Noen!'
'Oh. Where?' He said, holding back a laugh.
'In the bathroom'

Everything went silent for a few minutes.

Then Noen knocked on the door. 'It's gone chase' I stupidly opened the door and he pushed me onto the ground, and placed himself on my stomach. 'Noen what are you doing?' I see him go into his pocket and he has a tissue. He unravels the tissue and there it was.

That spider.

My breathing quickened and I started squealing like a pig. 'Shush babe. It's not that bad' he placed the spider in his hand and then on to my boiling hot cheek.  'Noen... get... it.. off. NOW!' I scream as he chuckles. 'Come on babe, don't be a scaredy-cat. We'll name it Beethoven.' The spider etched its way from my left cheek to my right. Then up to my forehead that was excessively sweating. It's hairy legs brushed and tickled me,

I let out a slight giggle, even thought I was scared for my life. 'See? Not that bad is it?' Noen asked me.
'No.. but as soon as you get 'Beethoven' off me I'm going to hurt you' I state.
'Ooh kinky' he winked at me. I roll my eyes and see the spider half-way through the roll. I sat there and just stared at it, as it trickled down the bridge of my nose, and down to my Cupid's bow. My breath slowed down as I became familiar with it.

**Back to normal time**

It reminded me of myself in a sense. Free; but anxious and scared at the same time. Scared of when your life is going to end because of someone bigger and scarier then you. In a way; It reminded me of me and my father. I was constantly scared of when he would reach his breaking point and when he would just snap my neck like he threatened to do countless times.

I'm glad I'm finally free of him, free of all the stress he inflicted on me and my family.

Free from everything.

**narrator**

The two boys reached the end of one of the various cliffs around them and just sat there. Admiring the view, and each other. They took turns yelling things to see if they would echo like it did in the movies. Screaming things like 'spider!' And 'Georgia' hearing them spontaneously echo down the wide Canyon.

Chase stood up and dragged Noen with him. He positioned Noen in front of him and placed his arms around his lover's waist. Confused at first, Noen stook his arms out to imitate the iconic Titanic scene. After he sung a few lines from 'my heart will go on' while chase laughed behind him, he placed his hands on top of chase's. They just stood there. Watching the sun slowly drag down and watching the bed of clouds slowly migrate east.

'I love you baby' Chase whispered into Noen's delicate ears as he placed his head in the crook of Noen's neck. 'I love you too Chase Eubanks.' His lover replied with a soft tone. Their lips connected, kissing in perfect sync until Noen turned around so his body was facing chase's. They pushed each other into a bone breaking hug. As if it was the last time they'd ever see each other again. Both boys clueless about what life had in store for them. But there was was one thing for sure...

They were ready for it..
