Your POV
We stopped in front of the watch tower that you had to climb to get up to the gate's top. The soldier stared in silence. Well, I shouldn't really call him a soldier anymore. I asked what his name was and he said Mike, so-
"What exactly are we doing?" He asked. I sighed.
"Getting back Badger and Max." I replied. Mike furrowed his brows.
"What did they do?" He asked again. I froze.
So many wrong things. I wish I could just say them out loud but... Now was not the time. It was time to get them back.
"Bad stuff." I said. "Anyways, just try to back me up. Even if I say something wrong, just back me up." I added. I put my hand on his shoulder and looked at him seriously. "Can I trust you, Mike?" Mike stared, then nodded.

"Badger!" I called out. He turned around, smirking.
"Love it when you say my name." He teased. I looked at him in disgust.
"Badger, that's... Disgusting." Mike muttered. Badger's eyes suddenly widened. He chuckled nervously.
"It was a joke, guys! Get it?" He scratched the back of his neck nervously. I walked towards him, making sure to make my footsteps sound loud to intimidate him. Never worked, but I always try.
"You made me shoot that girl!" I jabbed a finger in front of his face. Badger shook his head.
"When will you get it, Y/n? It was for our men.." he had on a sly smirk on his face. I rolled my eyes.
"It was my boyfriend's niece, Badger." I muttered. Badger stated at me blankly.
"... Boyfriend?" He whispered. I stepped back.
"Yeah! B-boyfriend!" Mike shouted. I shook my head, cringing. Mike wasn't good at this.
"Whatever... Anyways, stop making me shoot people. You don't know them, but other people might." I said. "Stop being selfish and actually think." Badger straightened up.
"Yeah yeah, stay here while I get David." He stepped off to the side only to be stopped by Mike.
"Really? I already told him. Almost got me kicked out, you know." I replied. Badger got silent.
"Fine, you win. Just leave me alone. I have stuff to do." He muttered. Mike pushed him away.
"Alright. End of conversation." I said before walking away, Mike following.
That was easier than I thought.

"Y/n!" I heard someone call out. I looked up to see Javi running towards me. Before I could say anything, I was pulled into a tight embrace. I could barely breath. "I'm so... So sorry. I shouldn't of acted like that.." he whispered. I hugged him back.
"Okay... Let go..." I coughed.
"Oh. Right. Sorry." Javi laughed before letting go. It felt like I broke a rib. Javi has gotten really buff over the years...
"It's nothing, Javi. I happened." I said. Javi smiled. I smiled back.
"So... About showing you around..." David awkwardly stood there, waiting for Javi.
"Can I come? I have to show him something too." I asked. David nodded.
"You probably know more than me." David laughed. I laughed back.
I could feel Javi looked at David and I in jealousy. Whatever, that's just Javi.
"Alright, let's roll. Tripp, Jesus, go with them. They'll take you somewhere." David commanded. I looked at Tripp. I could that he still wasn't sold on Richmond, but Jesus seemed fine. I smiled at them before leaving. Hopefully I could let them trust me before anything went down.

"Here is the armory-"
"It holds all of the guns and weapons. It's heavily protected, so I doubt that you'll be able to get in there without getting a talking to from Joan." I said. David sighed.
"Wow. Good to know." Javi chuckled. David crossed his arms.
"Y/n, let me do the talking. Besides you have some work to do." He said. I looked at him in confusion.
"But I don't have any-"
"Yeah, look, clean that stuff up over there." David pointed behind me. I turned around to see a pile of chalk left behind from some kids.
"But I have to show Javi something..." I replied. David shook his head in frustration.
"Yeah yeah, do that later." He exclaimed. I sighed in defeat and walked over to the chalk pile, bending down to pick them up.
While picking up the chalk, I heard Javi and David talking.
"David, we haven't seen each other in YEARS. Can't you just leave us alone for a minute?" Javi asked.
"Javi I'm your brother! I care about you." David replied. I frowned. And I don't?
"And Y/n doesn't?" Javi argued. There was silence.
"Just... Hang out with me for a bit. You said your hellos, now just calm down. Talk to me. How was it out there? What about Hector?" David quickly covered up. I shook my head. I couldn't hear them anymore. At least Javi stood up for me.
It sounds like David's jealousy is finally setting in, something I've been waiting for and fearing for. But it's whatever. I'll just have to do something about it.
I looked around on the ground for any more pieces of chalk. There were always spare pieces that would drive David crazy. Just before getting up, I spotted a small piece underneath a bench. I crawled over and picked it up. Something inside of me told me to pick it up. I looked around for anyone looking, then picked it up and stuffed it in my flannel pocket.
It'll probably be useful for Javi's escape plan.
