Back at the Agreste mansion Gabriel Agreste is slumped into his chair with his head in his hand depressed at the recent events that have taken place with his son. Nathalie told him what had happened and ever since he has been in is study not wanting to leave. "Oh Emilee, my dear, what are we going to do. I don't know where he is and I can't bring you back without his miraculous. I have failed you in more ways than I thought possible." Pinching the brim of his nose Nathalie enters the room.
"Sir, I have your dinner." Putting the plate down when seeing he is sulking she wraps her arms around him from the neck down. Lightly laying her head on his she speaks softly. "I know you wish to sulk but please you must eat something."
Scoffing he says, "Oh what the point Nathalie. In the matter of a few days I lost the last of everything I held near and dear to me." Forcing himself up he walks to the picture of his wife. "I had one promise to Emilee and it was keep Adrien safe and I find out I was the very reason he has been in so much danger. Now he has left home with no intent to return and he won't listen to my reasoning. Trying to manipulate him doesn't seem like it is working either."
"That is where you are wrong sir. It is working, slowly but surely. And you haven't yet lost everything. So much as I am by your side I will help you to achieve your goal to restore Emilee and regain Adrien's trust."
"Heh. You always have been by my side Nathalie, every step of the way, you have made sure I didn't lose myself to this...this goal. I thank you for that." Now facing her he sends her a smile that causes her normally emotionless face to grow red with blush.
"It is my pleasure Gabriel." She says to him with a equally warm smile. "Now please sir you must eat." Motioning her hand to the plate of food he nods and sits down taking the plate and eating. Oh Gabriel, if only you could move on and see my feelings for you. Maybe then you could find at least a piece of happiness. She thought to herself as she watched him eat. Nathalie has liked Gabriel for some time now and while she doesn't wish to make her feelings known for obvious reasons she does secretly wish she could.
Just as she was having her inner soliloquy she sees Nooru fly off of Gabriel's button up shirt. "What is it Nooru?" He asks wiping his mouth with a napkin she provides.
"Master I must tell you that what you are doing is of very high risk. Akumatizing a miraculous holders is one thing but Akumatizing one of the miraculous holders of Creation and destruction, especially destruction, is not something I advise!" He says in desperation. Nooru has always been afraid to speak freely with his master out of fear he would punish him but in this circumstance he can't just sit ideally by and watch.
"And why is that Nooru?" Gabriel asks curiosity peaked.
"The Black Knight that's why!"
oOo
Waking up that morning was very...different to say the least. Opening my eyes to see Kagami snuggled up in my arms and on my chest gave me a joke of happiness. Especially after last night's 'endeavours.' Gently moving her as to not wake her I make my way downstairs to get some breakfast. Plagg joins me and by that I mean he goes into the fridge and takes a bunch of Camembert cheese to eat. I in the other hand make myself some: Toast with a dollop of butter, a small amount of beans, eggs with cheese, bacon, and some juice to wash it all down with.
"You gonna add some Camembert to that breakfast?" Plagg asks me.
"I don't think I could stomach a piece of that cheese Plagg. That stuff is all for you." I say jokily. Eating another bite he sits on the countertop enjoying his breakfast.
