LET ME GO
PROLOGUE!
''Hello! I'm Maisie Jo-'
"No, that's rubbish. Come on, brain! Tell me a good way to start my Hetalia fanfiction!"
"Should I start with, I don't know, England or something? No..."
Inside a omit dimly lit room sat a young female with her jet black hair poking in all sorts of directions. While her dark brown eyes narrowed in weariness, her right hand furiously fiddled her computer mouse around. Her fragile frame was enveloped inside her turquoise blanket while her monitor provided the only source of light she had at the moment.
She ran a hand through her messy mane as she tried her best to write her story. "Damn it! How am I supposed to do this!?" She exclaimed as she furiously banged both her hands onto the keyboard. A stream of random letters appeared, filling half of the page.
"Smart move, Robins..." She cursed under her breath as she repeatedly pressed the backspace button. She cocked her head to the side and glanced at her white wall clock which read "6:02 AM".
"Aw Fu-" She shouted with an angry tone.
With a string of curses and profanities escaping her mouth, she sank in her seat and rued the day. "Good job Katie, you manage to waste your Friday night by successfully failing to write a Hetalia fanfiction. You're such a productive human being." In a cold tone, she rebuked herself and furrowed her eyebrows.
"Well, I'm writing Hetalia fanfiction. I guess I was never productive." She bantered as a humorless laugh left her mouth.
She then went back to writing her fanfiction, yet the consequences of staying up all night were taking their toll as Katie's eyes refused to stay open. She would constantly misspell a word because her hands went numb, and her head would sway from side-to-side. As time went on, Katie decided that, for the best, she would just leave off the fanfiction and get some rest. Hastily, she closed her computer and went to bed. The moment her head rested on the soft pillow, her body just shut down and she found herself in her little dream wonderland.
At around 8 o' clock , her mother entered the door with a small smile on her little plump cheeks. Katie's mother was a woman who had a towering height and an intimidating face, but a compassionate and mellow personality.
"Wake up, Katie." She said as she gently shook Katie's sleeping figure. Katie grumbled wearily as she impolitely slapped her mother's hand off of her.
"Katrina, wake up." Her mother repeated, now using a stricter tone against Katie. Katie slowly opened her eyes and mumbled
"Go away...I'm trying to sleep..." Her mother crossed her arms.
"Katrina, get up. I need you to buy something for me." She said as Katie pulled the covers over her head. Her mother sighed.
"You get to keep the change once you finished buying what I asked you to buy." Her mother whispered as Katie's eyes suddenly opened.
A toothy grin appeared on Katie's face as she lowered the blanket. "Alright, what do you need me to buy?" She asked, curious to what her mother had to say.
"A dozen eggs and flour would do." Her mother said, handing over a $20 dollar bill.
"How much flour?" Katie sat up as she took the money off of her mother's palm.
"The 10 pound one. Oh yeah, tell Madam Rosa that I said 'hi'", and with that, her mother left the room, leaving Katie to change.
---
Katie dragged herself towards her closet, her feet dragging across the carpeted floor, refusing to be lifted up.
"What the hell are you thinking? You know you're too tired to go outside!" She muttered bitterly.
