"It's time to wake up Shirou," I said, shaking the boy's shoulder as he tossed and turned from a bad dream.
"What happened?" Shirou asked, looking at his hand and stretching it.
"You were having a nightmare, it happens sometimes" I said and he nodded as he got up and got dressed in his training clothes. When we got to the dojo I saw that Saber was already here.
"Since you are both here we will be doing a different exercise today. Both of you are going to team up and fight against me and trust me when I tell you this, if you don't work together and give it one hundred and twenty percent you aren't going to survive" I told them as I summoned the married swords constantly twirling them back and forth making Shirou gulp.
"She is right, Saber, we have to work together. If not she will kill her, don't doubt that" Shirou warned as I jumped towards them. Shirou quickly projected his own married blades to block one while Saber blocked the other. Using their own defence against them was easy as I lent my weight on them before jumping up and kicking them both in the stomach.
"Do not think just because you have your enemy countered that they will simply give up, one of the first things a human or heroic spirit learns is fight or flight. If their Master is there as well then they will fight back, desperately, meaning you two need to focus on working in harmony" I said as I went for the attack and this time they seemed to have taken the lesson as once they blocked they swung to counter. All I had to do though was jump back and their swords hit each other's swords, giving me an opening to plant my fists into their stomachs and sending them flying back again.
"You need to be conscious of where your allies are, if you lose sight of them they could be in danger or you could kill each other" I lectured. This continued on until breakfast time, every time they did something wrong I would point it out before hitting them.
"Shirou" I said as he got ready to go to school.
"What is it, Angel?" Shirou asked, calling me by my nickname that he had given me and I wouldn't tell him but I quite enjoyed it.
"Something is happening at your school, the mana around that place has become foul so be careful. I'm going out today so if you need me call for me" I said as he left and I got ready to leave as well. I had decided to go and visit Illya today since I wanted to make sure the girl was doing okay with what I had told her.Finding the castle was easy as I was slipping around the defences until I got to the door and knocked.
"Who are you?" a woman demanded, she looked exactly like the one next to her, only a little different.
"My name is Angelica Ainsworth. I am here to see Illya" I told them.
"Oh Angelica you came to visit, Leysritt, Sella, this is the woman I told you about. The one that told me the truth about Mama and Papa" Illya explained.
"She is the one" the same maid said, it looked like both of them were homunculus.
"Come on in, get me some tea and refreshments" Illya ordered as she walked into the castle and I followed.
"Hey Angelica, you seem to know a lot so may I ask. Why didn't my father return after the last war finished like he promised? Why did he instead stay here with Shirou?" Illya questioned looking at her tea cup.
"I don't know, I only know what I have seen in other people's memories so I haven't ever met Irisviel or Kiritsuga but from the stories that Shirou has told me about him, he had a certain sadness to him all the time. I think that sadness was because he could not get back to you" I told her exactly what I thought, not holding anything back after all she was an eighteen year old woman.
"Did he even care for me though?" Illya whispered.
"I am not a mother nor a parent but I can tell you that no matter the distance, no matter the circumstance, no parent could ever truly hate their own child. Deep down, they have to at least hold some affection for their child so you tell me Illya. Look back in your memories of your father, does he seem like the person that would lie about how much he loved you?" I asked.
"No, every time I was bored he would always think of a new game to play and he would take me out into the snow which was a lot of fun" Illya said.
"Then you have your answer" I said with a nod at her.
"Angelica" I heard yelled and I instantly stood up.
"It seems that I am needed and will have to cut our visit short, I would hope that you will consider staying in this castle with Berserker so that you may be safe. That way after this war, you can meet your younger brother properly" I said and she nodded. I changed into my armour on the way as I raced to Shirou and Tosaka's school.
