Chapter 22: A guardians relief

"We need to talk about something before we tell Angelica about it" said Archer and they looked at him and Ainsworth.
"She is now 4% heroic spirit and 96% human and it is growing by the day so we have to figure something out to stop it" said Ainsworth and there eyes widened.
"No, you can't be right, she can't be turning into a heroic spirit," said Shirou.
"What can we do to stop it?" Gilgamesh asked, his eyes narrowed, he wasn't going to let anything take his Mistress and treasure away from him.
"We don't know, in our time line I never figured out how to stop the process let alone how to undo it but now that I have had time to think and study it, I know a quick fix" said Ainsworth.
"What is it?" Sakura asked, thinking about how her friend and saviour could just one day disappear.
"She needs to stop using the gate of Babylon, it's mana is too powerful for her human body to continue to use, the rest of her mana she can continue to use" explained Ainsworth.
"Then why didn't it start to turn me into a heroic spirit, I only became one after I died" said Gilgamesh.
"But you're not fully human, you are two thirds god and one third human, your god blood within you made your body able to withstand it" explained Ainsworth.
"Okay, I'm going to get Mistress," said Gilgamesh and no one said anything but they could see the stress and worry in Gilgamesh. 

"Mistress, we need you to come down now? Are you feeling better?" Gilgamesh enquired as he walked onto the roof.
"Yeah I'm fine now" I replied and we headed to the others to see them all seriously.
"What's happening?" I asked, looking at them.
"Your heroic spirit is growing by the day and we have no idea how long you have left" said Archer and my eyes widened actually showing my surprise for once.
"I guess I will have to look into how to stop this then" I said, my mind already moving to think about how to stop it.
"A quick fix is to stop using the gate of Babylon for now, until we find a full way to stop this from having to reverse it" offered Ainsworth and I nodded.
"I can do that for now" I nodded.
"Wait a minute we have a problem that I just thought of," said Rin, making us stop.
"Angelica hasn't fully come into her mana yet but it could come at any time and if that happens she will be turned into a heroic spirit before we could even take a breath" said Rin.
"We don't have much time then, we are going to have to work fast, first things first Archer you should do a scan on Angelica see if you can find a timeline for her full mana awakening as well as how much time we have left. Illya, can you contact Caster and Kuzuki? Saber can you contact Lancer and Bazett?" Kiritsuga requested.
"Come with me, we can go to the shed and work there" said Archer and I nodded, following him with Gilgamesh and the others all fanned out to look at books or even look on the internet for legends. Rin also decided to go back to her home to ask her father about it and Sakura went home to check in with Kariya and look at the books there. Irisviel also decided to call and ask the Von Einsburn family. 

When we got into the storage shed Archer instantly got some mercury out and made a pentagram sign on the ground before I finished the runes.
"I need you to stand in the middle with only cotton clothing," said Archer.
"I know," I said as I stopped before sighing.
"You don't happen to have cotton clothes in your gate of Babylon?" I asked, looking at Gilgamesh.
"Of course Mistress since you became my master I made sure to have a variety of female clothes" said Gilgamesh as he reached inside of his gate and pulled out a white cotton dress that was a floor length, the top was two straps over the sides and slits up the sides of the legs until my knees.
"Sorry Mistress I don't have anything that fully covers the body" Gilgamesh said as I took the dress and moved behind some boxes to get dressed.
"It's fine" I sighed as I stood in the middle of the circle and Archer started to chant as the circle began to glow.
"There is going to be some pain," I said to Gilgamesh as I clenched my teeth together and Gilgamesh nodded.
"I've got it, her mana will fully activate in one week and when it does she will become a heroic spirit" said Archer.
"That means that we only have a week to figure something out that Ainsworth hasn't been able to figure out in however many years that she has been alive," said Gilgamesh before he began pacing back and forth.
"It will be fine back then she only had herself to think about it but now Angelica has us along with you, we aren't going to let her become a heroic spirit" promised Archer.
"For now we should all get some sleep, it's been a long and emotional day, tomorrow we can start fresh" I said and they nodded as we headed back to the house.
