The next day Shirou turned up at my camp at four seeing as he still had his classes as students.
"So what are we doing today?" Shirou asked.
"Hand to hand combat, we won't do anything until you finish that because with the mastery in hand to hand combat you will have the form for archery and swordsmanship. Then after you have that, your stamina, reactions, strength and speed will improve. Then I will teach you better reinforcement magic along with projection magic and magecraft" I told him.
"Why teach me all of that, isn't that going overboard?" Shirou blinked.
"Lesson three, don't ever underestimate enemies, use everything you have at your disposal" I warned him and he sighed before nodding and getting up.
"Let's get to work, I have only got so much patience so you better get it right this time" I ordered with a glare and he gulped before nodding. When he was starting the strikes I noticed straight away that his form was okay but not the best. It was easy to see that someone had shown him the basics but that was it.
"Your left leg needs to be back a little more without moving your right foot, square your shoulders, stop pushing your chest out and your fists need to be more clenched. When you go for the hit don't just use your strength, put your weight behind it as well" I told him hitting his leg making him yelp but he moved it and listened to what I told him.
"Good now throw fifty punches for each arm to grind it into your brain. You look stupid so make sure to memorise it as you go" I ordered as I walked him sigh but continue his punches.
"Good now do the same for kicks, fifty each leg and when you kick you want your leg to either be straight or twisted since you don't seem to be very flexible, start with just straight kicks" I told him as I demonstrated for him. After his fifty kicks each I let him collapse to the ground to have a rest.
"You have had fifteen minutes to rest so get up. Since we have done all we could for hand to hand combat, we start with a bow and arrow" I said, holding my hand out and bringing out a practice bow and arrow and gave it to him.
"Hit the tree there, don't worry if you miss, all arrows will come back to me" I said, grabbing his arms and positioning them right and watching him. Surprisingly he did better than I thought he would since he hit the outside of the tree. Sure it wasn't a clear shot or hitting the middle but he showed promise.
"Good, continue to draw the bow and shoot until you run out of arrows" I said as I turned and left to the river a little away from my camp to shower.Taking my clothes off I washed under the waterfall before getting out and drying myself off and getting dressed back into my armour. When I walked into the camp my hand instantly shot out and grabbed an arrow that shot towards me.
"Watch it mongrel" I snapped with a glare as the arrow glowed gold and disappeared.
"Sorry I kind of missed" Shirou sheepishly admitted and I looked at the tree.
"Not too bad, you seem to be a natural bowman. When you get home, soak a towel in cool water, not ice cold and put it on your arm. Trust me you will thank me and don't think you can skip your muscle exercise" I warned him and he gulped but nodded before leaving. Sighing I opened the gate and grabbed a short sword out and swung it around and did my own exercises.Once again the next day after school hours Shirou turned up and I drilled him through his hand to hand combat and then gave him a bow and arrow again. This continued on and each day he was getting better and better both his skill and muscle were growing.
"What are you doing Angelica?" Shirou asked one day about a month after we started to train.
"Cleaning my tent I have left books, swords and arrows everywhere so I am just cleaning up a bit" I replied.
"Wait a minute you live in a tent?" Shirou asked.
"Of course, after all I won't buy a house or rent an apartment because I don't trust people enough to live near others" I said with a glare.
"Well...In that case why don't you move in with me?" Shirou suggested and I looked at him.
"Why would I do that?" I asked.
"Well it's just that you would have a dojo and it would be easier on me after all I wouldn't have to travel all the way up here. That also means we would be able to train even more" Shirou explained.
"And what makes you think I would trust you?" I asked, looking at him.
"Well you're teaching me how to train plus you also let me come here instead of somewhere else" Shirou pointed out and I went still as I looked at him. He was right, why was I allowing him near my tent? Why was I training him? I didn't even need to ask that question seeing as I already know the answer to it, he reminded me of myself. He was bent and bruised from his childhood trauma but he had yet to be broken like I had and I knew deep down in my heart I didn't want him to be broken like me so I was training him how to fight so that he wouldn't get broken.
