Chapter 21: A haunted past retold

Two years, it had been two years since the holy grail war and I could honestly say that everything was going rather well. A year ago when Shirou and Rin were graduating Shirou finally asked Rin, Saber, Sakura and Illya to be in a relationship with him and while it wasn't the most traditional relationship we all accepted it simply because they loved each other. I had attended Caster and Kuzuki wedding as Caster's maid of honour with Gilgamesh as my partner. Then a year after the wedding they asked us to be godparents to their child Medea, named after her mother's true name and was the spitting image of her mother already. 

Lancer and Bazett were also planning to get married but had yet to tie the knot but they had a baby girl, Bazett Jr that was much like her mother already except for her blue hair and red eyes. 

Shirou and Rin have decided after graduation to go to London to go to the clock tower, a school for Magi but put it off for a year so that Sakura could attend with them. 

Archer and Ainsworth, while they didn't speak of it much, we could tell that they had plans to get married and perhaps have a child but for now they had gotten jobs in the magi forces to help out around the world while they weren't with Rin and Sakura. To start off with I wasn't sure how that would go with their pasts but since they weren't alone this time they were coping a lot better. 

I heard from Waver as well, he had finished his education in the clock tower so he and Iskander were travelling some more when they weren't back home visiting. 

Saber, Illya and Berserker also decided to go to the clock tower so as not to be separated from Shirou. 

Meanwhile I had been asked to attend as well so Gilgamesh and I were with them, not that the teachers taught me anything that I didn't already know but I pretended that they did so they didn't give me a hard time.
"Have you finished packing Mistress?" Gilgamesh asked, entering our shared room. We had been sharing a room ever since my first nightmare when I stopped sleeping with Shirou and Gilgamesh didn't like letting me out of his sight for more than a few hours.
"I just finished is everyone else ready?" I asked him. Over the last two years I had come to see the others in our group as part of my family even if it was only a recent development since I still had trust issues. As to where we were going, we were heading back to Fuyuki city to visit Kiritsugu and Irisviel as well as Rin's parents though I didn't get along very well with the latter and to meet Bazett Jr. I had also decided that it was time to reveal my past to them all, Rin, Archer, Sakura, Ainsworth, Shirou, Saber, Illya, Berserker, Irisviel, Kiritsuga and most importantly Gilgamesh. Every time I was near the golden man lately my heart would beat faster and I could tell that even though I couldn't show it, I was starting to like Gilgamesh.
"Just a few hours now" smiled Shirou and I nodded my head as Gilgamesh sat next to me glaring as a man walked past us, still possessive of me. 

"You're back" grinned Irisviel as we arrive and she attacked Illya and Shirou with hugs before hugging me and I brought my hands up and patted her back making her beam before she hugged everyone and welcomed them into the house that was more lively and had pictures all over the walls with all of us in them and separate ones of Kiritsuga and Irisviel when they went travelling even Fujimura and Maiya were in some of them. Watching them catch up I felt a throb in my heart and I knew that I had to tell them soon or I would become too attached and if they rejected me it would hurt badly. Ainsworth reached over and gently squeezed my shoulder to give me some strength. After all, she had the exact same past as myself and it couldn't have been easy when she told Archer about it. Most would find talking to yourself would be disconcerting but I felt it was comforting.
"Can I speak to you guys about something private?" I requested, glad that Sella and Leysritt were gone for the day.
"Of course Angelica what is it?" Kiritsuga asked.
"I think I trust you guys enough to tell you about my past, most of you have seen my unlimited blade works with your own eyes and if not the others have told you and I am sure that you know that it is a reflection of the persons mind" I said and they nodded looking shocked but not speaking up but Gilgamesh reached and held my hand.
"You have all probably wondered how mine turned into a frozen wasteland with nothing but the snow, moon and swords or perhaps you have even wondered if I look so much like Gilgamesh and have the same mana use as he does with the gate of Babylon" I said, taking a deep breath.
"Take your time we aren't going anywhere we will listen to all you have to say" assured Shirou getting nods of agreement.
