Papa once told me, ' No matter what happens, people change, things end and life goes on... Life is like waves of the ocean, it keeps going. ' I know he read it somewhere but it was all true. No one is going to wait for you except the people who genuinely love you.~ Aavya, on a Thursday which went terribly bad.

Aman had a sinking feeling that the only companion he'd found these days was bad luck. It was looming over his head like those somber rainy clouds. It was engulfing him into a dark space that felt dreadful.
Another funeral since he was back. It wasn't like he could have anticipated or prevented any of that but the fact that he had to go through it all in such a short span of time since his return was just too much to bear.
In the presence of extremely close friends and family, the Raichands bade goodbye to Aurum. It was an intimate affair. Aurum wasn't just a pet dog but more than family and a companion to the children of the house. All the three grew up with Aurum and as much as Ansh denied this love, he had grown fond of Aurum, he had tears in his eyes. Aurum had shown him the love that was beyond his belief.
Logan and Thea were also present beside Aman. Aavya was coping well which wasn't expected but appreciated. Rose and Zeehan stood side by side and Aman couldn't help notice the constant trail of tears down her cheeks. He knew she loved him a lot and it was a huge deal for her too.
By 6 in the evening the Raichands had the house to themselves. All were gathered in the living room, none saying a word. It felt as if they letting the memories seep in. Ayan had produced a fine work of compiling all the clips they had with Aurum. It was a trove of treasure for them. It was running on an endless loop on their LCD with soft music to pacify their turbulent minds.
Good times run faster than you realize they will, hard times are the ones you will need to remember when you're busy acknowledging and cherishing the best ones.
A while later all of them retreated to their rooms. They had lost their desire to eat even for the sake of it and only a good night's sleep would do them good. It had been a couple of long and exhilaratingly invigorating days for them.
Ansh and Ahana craved for each other's company tonight. While the siblings involuntarily assembled in the boy's room. It had more than enough space for them. They sought each other's presence whenever they happened to be overwhelmed with emotions.
" Aman has suffered a lot Ansh, he is hurting the most. I think you should make peace now." Ahana spoke as they cuddled together in their room. She inhaled his strong smell and found some solace in that familiarity. It was unbelievable how tough paths they had traversed to be here together and still so much in love. Sometimes, it makes you shiver to imagine what would happen if even a single thing went wrong or had not fallen into its place. Well, right now Ahana might have found her peace but she always had this constant fear bugging her mind.
" I know that but no one saw that coming. We're at peace and I don't wanna take advantage of this situation into admitting guilt and neither would I like him to admit his. We both did what we perceived was correct. Peace will find its way when the time is right. " Ahana hummed but her heart will never be at peace until her son and her husband sort their differences.
Yet, life needs to go one and it does.

The next morning saw all of them at the breakfast table trying to be normal except Aman.
Well, for starters he was missing.
Ahana shot a worried look at Ansh who appeared nonchalant.
