That little girl...

She used to be so brave and daring,

Whatever happened?

She went from thinking she could take on the world,

To feeling like she was the smallest thing in it.

She used to laugh and share her ambitions,

Her goals that she would set,

But now she sits and cries,

Feeling like everything she does is never enough.

She'll sit in her room, all hours of the day,

Wishing that everything could be over.

She'd take that blade,

And draw on her arms, trying to erase the imperfections,

Watching as blood, so impure, would spill onto the floor.

She hated everything in this life,

But yet she was still to scared to take that knife...

She didn't really want to die,

Not yet anyways.

She just wanted everything to be as good as it was in her childhood,

Where she could remain carefree.

One day she was stressed and overwhelmed.

She felt like everyone hated her.

She ran to her room and fell to her bed.

Sobbing silently,

"God please take my life!"

She grabbed a pen and paper,

Started to write a few words...

That little girl was about to take matters into her own hands,

Told her dad she loved him,

Told her mom she'd miss her,

Told her baby brother,

That he would grow strong and that she loved him.

She crumpled up the paper,

Swallowed a few pills,

Made a maroon river,

Next thing she knew,

She's looking down to her mother.

She walks in her room,

And that little girl thought that her mother would be happy,

But instead she fell down crying,

Begging her babygirl to come back from the heavens.

She called in her husband,

He ran in panicking, phone to his ears,

"My little girl is gone" is all the words you can hear.

Her father blocks your brother's view,

So he can't see you

He's asking what happened,

And you hear your mother say that I went far away.

Everyone is sad,

As the emergency vehicles pull up, you realize you'd made the worst mistake ever.

You're no longer that little girl,

Wishing you'd been better.

You realized that there's no going back,

Your brother misses you,

And within a few years he understands what happened to you.

You see him in pain,

You see him go through everything you went through.

You try to comfort him, but realize you never could.

You wish you would have gotten help,

Cause if you had,

That little girl could still be standing here...
