***Warning! Suicide/self harm ahead!***
She had sat there...
Her sleeves covered her imperfections.
Those cuts and burns she would create.
She tried to tell herself that she needed to do it.
She wanted to believe it was better than killing herself.
She didn't know that it was equally as bad.
But she'd sit there with that lighter to her arm,
That flame searing her skin,
Leaving it burnt.
And the blade that she'd glide across with ease.
She wrote words in her arm to remind her of how stupid she was.
How immature.
She hated her life.
Her boyfriend had finally given up,
He no longer begged her to stop.
He started feeling numb.
Afraid of what would happen to her.
Her friends hated seeing her in pain.
But she never noticed their concern.
Her family was too late to notice the warning signs.
By time they knew, it was already too late.
She had taken that noose,
And did what she thought to have been right.
She ended her life,
Thinking it would free her mind.
Her teachers knew how smart she was.
They blamed themselves for not seeing the signs.
Because in reality,
She was their favorite student.
Her boyfriend blamed himself,
Thinking that he should of continued to tell her to stop.
Her friends all felt guilty and that they were to blame,
Because they knew what she was going through,
But never reported her pain.
Her family fell apart.
Her dad shot himself a week after.
Her mother ended up being addicted to gambling,
Losing all her money,
And becoming an alcoholic...
Trying to forget the fact that she had failed as a parent.
And that her husband was dead.
After watching everyone from up above,
She felt so very bad.
She didn't realize how many people had cared,
Didn't realize her death would affect them.
She didn't realize...
Everything she had.
