I was woken from my peaceful sleep by a heavy object landing on me. I groaned and tried to roll over but whatever sitting on me was too heavy for me to that. I pried one eye open. I scowled when I saw Bree sitting cross-legged on my lower abdomen. I looked over at my clock and groaned again.

"Bree, darling, why the hell are you waking me up at 6:30 in the morning?"

She simply shrugged and smiled at me. I sighed and carelessly pushed her off of me, sending her sprawling on the floor. I sat up and looked around, noticing that Bree was already dressed for the day.

        "What do you want?"

Bree rolled her eyes, standing up from the floor.

"I want you to get up and come explore with me. I want to find all my classes but don't want to go alone. Since classes start in just under a week I don't want to get lost. So get your gorgeous ass out of bed and get dressed."

I groaned but complied and rolled out of bed. I searched through my drawers, tiredly pulling out an outfit. I ended up with a pair of sweats and my Luke Bryan concert tee with a pair of Uggs. I threw my hair in a bun and met Bree in the living room. We grabbed two bottles of water out of the fridge and left the dorm. As we walked around, we talked about what we wanted to do with our lives. Bree was telling me about how she wanted to be a physical therapist..

"I've just always liked helping people get better. It's my passion. But I never wanted to be a nurse and deal with the sickness and death. So I decided a physical therapist was best."

It made sense. She seemed to have a caring personality.

"I want to be a pharmacist. I guess it's the same situation as you. I want to help people but I don't want to directly deal with the sickness. Plus I really liked chemistry in high school. So pharmacy it was."

        "Makes sense."

We fell into silence as we walked. I was in a good mood for the most part. Then I heard shrill giggling. Leave it to the bitch squad to ruin my day. I was determined to ignore them when I caught a glimpse of someone who I didn't expect to see. Yet he was here, in all his plaid glory. And he was surrounded by Mariah and her brainless Barbies.

        "LOGAN!!!!"

He turned his head, looking for me. When he caught my gaze, he immediately pushed away from Mariah. He started to walk towards while I ran at him. When we met, he wrapped his arms around me and spun me in a circle. He set me down and stepped back, looking at me as if he were looking for something.

        "What are you doing, Logan?"

"I'm tryin' to make sure that bein' this far from home hasn't turned ya into a city girl."

"Logan, I'm not any different. I've made a couple friends but I'm still me."

He pulled me back into a hug. We just stood there until someone cleared their throat. I pulled back and saw Bree standing off to the side, smirking.

        "And who might this be?"

"Bree, this is Logan, my best friend. Logan, this is Bree, my roommate."

        "And new best friend."

I glared at Bree for her comment, playfully cocking an eyebrow. She just rolled her eyes and stuck her hand out  to Logan. He shook it, staring at her and smiling. They separated and Logan threw an arm around my shoulder.
