As soon as I got back to my dorm, I sent a text to Damian, telling that I was sorry. I didn't know what else to do. Unlike he normally did, Damian didn't reply automatically. I didn't think much of it because I figured he was on his bike. But when he responded, I knew something was off. His response was direct and snippy almost, yet depressed. He was never like that. He was always witty and sarcastic and sometimes inappropriate.
Not really thinking of what I was doing, I ran out the door. Before I knew where I was going, I was knocking on a door. The door to the dorm was opened by a tall guy. He gave me a questioning look but opened the door wider when he saw the state I was in. I'm sure I looked a wreck with tears in my eyes and my hair a mess.
"Hey, love. Umm.... Who are you looking for?" the guy asked with a British accent. I couldn't respond because I was blubbering so bad. Again, I'm sure I looked a wreck but I didn't really care. All I wanted was to talk to Damian.
"W-where's D-D-Damian?" I managed to stutter out. The guy's eyes softened a little bit. He wrapped his fingers around and pulled me into the dorm. He led me to the couch, letting me settle down while he got me a mug of tea. I accepted it gratefully, wrapping my oddly cold fingers around the warm mug. He sat down beside me, rubbing a hand along my arm.
"I'm Mitchell, by the way. I'm one of Damian's roommates. I'm not exactly sure where he is. All I know is that Ty rushed out of here rambling about best friends and secrecy," the guy said, obviously trying to console me. It helped a little bit but I still had a few tears rolling down my cheeks. Suddenly the door flew open and Damian stood in the doorway.
"Well shit...."
I was frozen. All I could see was Damian. My eyes travelled up and down his body, checking for injuries. When my gaze reached his hands, I gasped. His hands were swollen and bloodied, looking as if he'd gotten in a fight with a rock and lost.
"Damian, are you alright? What happened?" I questioned. I knew he was probably pissed at me but I just wanted to make sure he was okay. He didn't respond, only staring at me with wide eyes. He opened his mouth as if to speak but quickly closed it. Before I could say anything he stomped away and slammed the door to his room. I ran behind him, banging on his door and trying to get him to open it.
"Damian.... Damian please! Open the door! I need to talk to you........ I need to explain......" I yelled at first but ended my plea in a whisper. I rested my forehead against the door, trying to hear if he was moving around. When I didn't hear anything I turned around and slid down the door, resting my back against it. Suddenly my back wasn't against the door but on the floor. I found Damian looking down at me.
"Allie, what are you doing here? You made it clear that you didn't want to see me when you said no and ran away. So why are you here?" He said all this with pain in his eyes and I automatically felt guilty. I had rejected him without a second thought for his feelings. I had only thought about how I would be affected if this went south.
"Damian, I want to apologize. I shouldn't have acted like I did. I have an explanation. It might not be what you like but it's the only thing I've got," I explained quickly, hoping he wouldn't tell me to leave. He let out a sigh and gingerly pulled me to my feet, wincing slightly. He led me to the couch once again and sat down, pulling me down with him. I settled down, taking a deep breath and preparing to tell Damian why I ran.
"Damian, when I was little, my father told me that I was special and I should wait to give myself to the man I would spend the rest of my life with. I'd promised him that I would because I was his little girl and I knew he only wanted what was best for me. My father died when I was fourteen. When I got a little bit older, I started dating a guy named Ian. I thought I loved him. I thought he loved me. It was a mess all around and I made a mistake. I lost my virginity to him and he left me in a crying heap. I promised myself that I wouldn't make a mistake like that again. I'm scared Damian. My whole life I've only wanted to make my dad proud. I don't want to get hurt and you could hurt me."
Damian was silent for a moment. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. I sat waiting for his answer. Suddenly his lips were covering mine. I froze for a second before responding and wrapping my arms around his neck. His lips moved against mine and I felt his tongue tracing my bottom lip, asking for entrance. I granted it to him and he groaned, deepening the kiss. My fingers buried themselves in his hair as I tried to pull him even closer even though we were already impossibly close. He pulled back and ran his fingers over my cheek, resting his forehead against mine.
"Allie, I'm not gonna hurt you. I promise you. I don't want to take things too fast. I just want to move past a friendship and see where it goes. Just you and me being us. That's all I want," He breathed out. I smiled at him and nodded my head.
"Yes, Damian, I'll go on a date with you."

So, I fixed it. You don't have to kill me!!! Anywho, I apologize for taking forever with this chapter. Annoying circumstances and distractions made it nearly impossible to write. But here it is and the thing that I did last time is no longer a bad thing. It's a good thing now. So I hope that you enjoy the chapter even though it's kinda short. Welp I'm gonna go now. Bye!
