{Four-Damian}

        I watched as Allie and Bree walked away. Seeing Bree again was awkward. Yeah, we were friends, but since we broke up things haven't been the same. I will admit, though, we had good memories.
        I sighed and looked at my half eaten food, my appetite gone. I got up and threw it away. Looking at the time, I saw I only had 45 minutes till my gig at the Corner Brew, a small coffee shop that sold amazing coffee and pastries.
        I walked back to my dorm and found that my other two roommates had arrived. All three of them sat in the living room area playing XBox, and among them was someone I never thought I'd see again. "Tyler?" At the mention of his name, the brown haired boy looked at me, his hazel eyes wide.
        "Damian?" His voice was incredulous. "Dude, is that you?" I grinned at my best friend. "Tyler, you son of a bitch, come here!" Tyler's grin matched my own as he ran over to me, embracing me in an oh-so-manly hug. The other two gave us weird looks. They could fuck off, I hadn't seen this boy since sophomore year! I looked him over. "Holy shit, Ty, you grew! You aren't a tiny little shrimp anymore!" He pouted and punched my arm.
        "I was never a tiny little shrimp, you asswipe!" I could tell he wasn't really mad at me. I flicked his forehead to shut him up. He grinned again and glanced back at the other two. I gave him a look. "Don't even think about it."
        "But Damian," he whined, lowering his voice, "they're both so hot!" Yes, my best friend of over 8 years is as gay as a rainbow-farting unicorn. Hell, I met him in 6th grade when the boys in the gym locker room kept throwing things at him and calling him a "fagasaurus." Luckily, Dylan and my other roommate didn't seem to hear him. Something about the other guy, though, just screamed, "Hey, I'm gay!" But it was probably my imagination. Dylan, however, was obviously straight, and possibly a stoner from what I could tell about his personality and demeanor. I smiled at my other roommate. "Hey there," I said with a small wave, "I'm Damian Thomas. And you are?" He smiled politely. "I'm Mitchell Grayson." His accent was strongly British, and when he spoke Tyler practically melted in his pants.
I looked at the time again. 30 minutes. "Sorry I can't stay and chat boys, I've got a gig to go to." And with those words, I grabbed my acoustic and headed towards the door.
        "Now wait just a damn minute!" I turned to a slightly annoyed Tyler as he continued. "You seriously expect me, your best friend whom you haven't seen in AGES, to just sit around here while you run off and perform alone? Hell no!" I chuckled. "Ty, your gay is showing." He rolled his eyes and slipped on his red Vans before running up to me. Naturally, his Vans matched his red Sleeping With Sirens band tee and dark grey skinnies. Compared to Tyler, I looked like a bum in my ripped jeans, black My Chemical Romance band tee, and black and white checkered Converse. He always made sure to look "as fabulous as he really is."
        We headed out the door and made it to the shop just in time for my performance. But, as luck may have it, as I walked over to the counter to tell the manager I was here, a girl turned and ran into me, spilling her coffee all over me. "SHIT!!!" My vision was red at the edges. This was my favorite shirt! I didn't start to calm down until I heard the familiar feminine voice; Allie. "Oh God, Damian. I'm so sorry. I didn't see you there. Shit. Really, I'm sorry. God, first day in Chicago and I'm already screwing things up." She sounded almost desperate, and the look in her eyes showed she was.
        I took a deep breath and uncurled my fists that I didn't even know I had clenched. My jaw, however, stayed tight. "No, I'm fine." She kept apologizing. "Seriously Damian. I'm really sorry. It was an accident."  "Really, Allie, I'm fine. It's just coffee. It'll wash out of the clothes." She seemed really relieved. "Thank God. I really didn't want you to be mad at me." No, you really don't. "I wouldn't be mad. It was an accident." She let out a really relieved breath.
        "How can I make it up to you?" Damn girl was persistent. But this gave me an idea. I pulled out my Galaxy S5 and held it out, saying, "How about you give me your phone number and we'll call it even." Surprisingly, she nodded and took my phone, putting in her number. I smiled and took it back.
I heard two identical "Get you some!"'s from my left and found Bree and Ty waggling their eyebrows at us. I rolled my eyes, but didn't miss Allie's face go a bit red as she shot a glare at Bree. "Allie, meet Tyler, my best friend." As I introduced him, he bowed dramatically. He made his voice sound posh and sophisticated. "Hello my darling! How do you do?" She giggled adorably-wait, adorably? Pull yourself together man.
        While they began talking, I went and got set up on the small stage. A lot of regular customers started gathering and by the time I was ready, a small crowd had formed. Ty, Allie, and Bree managed to work their way to the front. I winked at Allie and chuckled when she blushed.
        "Hey everyone," I said into the mic, "I'm back! Hope you guys like tonight. I've got a special treat for a new friend of mine who just moved here." I sat on the stool with my acoustic guitar and scanned the crowd again, my eyes landing on Allie. I wasn't the best at country, but I figured I'd try my best for her. I began playing and singing a cover of Invisible by Hunter Hayes. I saw her eyes widen in shock and couldn't help but smile. By the time I got to the chorus, she was singing along. That gave me more confidence. Maybe music is the key to getting closer to her...
