"Human" (vent, sort of)

My personal way of dealing with my (currently pretty strong and negative) emotions is by writing angst with my persona, so I'm gonna do that! Note that if I put this on a cliffhanger, I'm probably not gonna do a part two due to low motivation and you can't respawn. Oh, and quick warning for cursing and self-harm (technically).

Ember was in her base, dwelling in her emotions once again. Her past caught up to her at very random (and often inconvenient) times, and it hit once again at one of the worst times.

Reverse time-skip to 10 minutes ago

Ember was flying around, just eavesdropping on people. Or at least that's what she liked to call it. It felt more like stalking, but they were pretty much family, so it didn't matter too much to her. This inconvenient thought came, as the voice came back right when she was having a somewhat ok day, which had become nonexistent at this point.

Are you really sure you're actually a part of the family if you don't even have the nerve to ask anyone a simple question? looks like she was gonna have to leave. But then someone came. She noticed his flight and immediately knew it was the little gremlin from his flying.

"Hey, Ember!" Grian asked, probably asking for obsidian or some other End stuff.

"Hey," Ember replied shyly. She was already freaking out over 2 very simple words. Things then went silent for a few seconds, which scared Ember a little (Demise isn't happening in this AU, I don't know anything about Hermitcraft since like, May this year? Or maybe earlier than that).

"You need something?" Ember finally got the nerve to ask.

"No, just wanted to fly around with you," Grian said, which got Ember suspicious.

"What, you have a crush on me?" Ember immediately asked afterward.

"What, nO?" Grian replied, which exactly brought back the reason why she usually left when things went dead silent. She immediately remembered about Aries, and how she said no like that. But you can't go back, Aries is dead, Aubrey's betrayed you, and your OWN BROTHER- she needed to leave before it got any worse. She immediately teleported into her base.

End of reverse time skip

And here we are. She was just about to get a conversation out, why did he have to say that!? Grian's probably looking for you now, you need to go deeper. And so Ember did, as she went to what she called her cooldown zone. Ember waited there for a while before deciding to look back on the good days, before everything fell down. And with a flick of her hand, a flame of purple fire, the kind of fire that can show the memories of anyone, shone and she was taken back. Back when everything was fine, she had two great friends and a caring, all be it overprotective, brother. But all good things must come to an end, I guess.

Exactly, and it's good they left you, bitch. Why did this have to happen at all?

You know exactly why, dumbass, and it's all your fault. No. Don't fail. You managed to get through 4 days without it.

Why the hell would anyone even care, let alone notice, if you disappear? This is a good thing! It'll make it easier for you to end your pathetic life! Despite her efforts, she still curled up into a ball which she couldn't get herself out of for more than 5 seconds.

Just go do it. You have the knife in the room. No one gives a shit. Despite all of Ember's efforts, she felt something wet on her arm. Great. She failed once again. Why should she be surprised? She always fucked something up! Ember's response to her failure was to her slap herself.

And slap herself.

And slap herself.

She eventually stopped to prevent it from making any permanent mark, since no long sleeved shirts seemed to look good on her, and continued in her misery. Until, she came up with something. She noticed that most of the hermits were humans. So that meant she was pretty much a monster to them, which was a hard to swallow pill, but she knew was the truth. So if she were to- no, you saw what happened to Gerutl. You KNOW you're gonna die, that's why they used it as a form of execution. But he was a NorthArrow dragon, maybe things are a little bit different for Enders?..

It didn't matter now. Dying and gaining some attention from everyone else was the same for Ember at this point, since they only seem to care when you're dead. Now she just needed a blade sharp enough. Ember searched to no end in the room. Eventually she found the sword she had in 2b2t, Ember wasn't allowed to use it now, but she didn't care. She looked at the extremely sharp blade that could cut through obsidian and all the decorations on it. Ember looked at the little purple moon on the handle with some gold around it in a circle. It was finally about to happen. Ember no longer cared about the consequences as she had the sword reach her back.

Slash.

Blood was everywhere now, but she didn't mind. She had only hit the wings. Ember needed to do the tail now. She didn't even bother to look at the sword she was holding before bringing it to her tail and-

Slash.

She felt like she was going to black out at any second. She was surprised that she felt no pain as the world darkened before her.

Good job. Was the last thing she heard until she feel asleep.

I was planning on a part 2, but my motivation been extremely low, lately. I'm honestly surprised I had the stamina to write this. Anyways, this has been EmberDragon240 at 4 am, and I'm out.
