Chapter Eighteen - Choice

-Bam POV-

"Hey," Endorsi said. "Did you get anything out of her?" Khun's hand gripped mine tightly. "Nothing useful." Endorsi squinted at us skeptically. I had calmed down, but I still felt uneasy. "Yeah. I don't think she'll tell us anything anytime soon. We'll have to break her down," I added. "I could try," Endorsi offered. Khun snorted. "You're probably the last person she'd tell anything," he said.

We moved on, leaving Endorsi behind. "Hey Bam," Khun said, grinning. "What?"

"Do you wanna go on a date?"

-Endorsi POV-

I'm happy for them. It's nice to know something can warm that blue jerk's heart, and it's nice to see Bam smile. I won't lie though, I'm...a little jealous.

Scratch that. I'm a lot jealous.

I didn't even notice my feet carrying me toward Rachel's cell until I heard her speak. "Did you know?"

I glared at her. "Know what?" I asked, keeping myself carefully guarded. Rachel smiled. "That Bam was dating him." "Of course I knew. We're a team." "I guess you didn't get him after all," Rachel mused. "Who could have seen that coming?" "Anyone's better than you," I spat. The blonde laughed. "Of course." We were silent. "You're jealous of them, aren't you?"

I looked away. "Yeah, a bit. But, you know what? Unlike you, when I'm rejected, I don't plot to kill someone." I looked the other girl in the eyes.

"Don't you see? You could have had it so easy! We wanted to bring you up the tower! You could have had a free ticket. I don't understand why you had to make it so goddamn difficult for all of us. You tried to kill Bam, you almost killed Khun...what do you want?"

"I didn't have a choice!" Rachel snapped. Her eyes widened. "You didn't have a choice?" I raised an eyebrow. "Who's forcing you to choose?" "I'm not telling you anything!" "Is it FUG?"

Rachel scoffed. "No. They're so much more ancient and powerful than FUG." Rachel clamped her mouth shut and turned away.

"Okay."

Rachel looked at me questioningly.

"You're not going to tell me now, but I'll find out. See you soon, Rachel."

I turned and walked away. That girl was being threatened by someone, and I want to find out who's trying so damn hard to kill us.

-Rachel POV-

God damn it. I didn't mean to spill anything. If he finds out, I might be dead.

Shorter chapter today my friends. I've got exams coming up, and I haven't actually started studying yet...

My plans for next chapter would probably make this one too long anyway. KhunBam date anyone?

Endorsi gets stuff done. I may have vented a bit in her dialogue...who do you think is controlling Rachel?
