Chapter Twelve

"What are you two students doing in here?" A teacher suddenly enters the lab waking up the two students. "At anong ginawa ninyo rito sa lab?!"

Tumayo si Athena upang humingi ng paumanhin at lumapit sa teacher. "Maam please forgive us but w--"

"We have to go. There's a contest that's waiting for us." Lumapit si Ares at kinuha ang kamay ni Athena.

"We've cleaned the lab after we used it and we arranged the materials alphabetically, so there's no need to worry." Ares explained which is detailed to the teacher.

"Someone locked us last night around 9. Please excuse us, we have 30 minutes to prepare for our competition." Umalis na siya at dala-dala si Athena. "Wait lang!"

The teacher was about to say something but the two students already left. She was shocked by how the Chemistry Lab changed...well in a good way.

Athena's POV

"Can you let go my hand now?" Nasa mga dorms na kami and it is fortunate that the contest starts at 8. They found us 30 minutes before the competition starts.

"Don't you think it's kinda rude to arrange all the apparatus alphabetically?" I asked him.

"No, not at all." Well 'cause it's his idea to arranged in that manner.

-Flashback-

"No. We're not gonna do an experiment and don't touch that beaker." I warned him, yet he still disobeyed.

"How about we destroy this laboratory?"

"It's not funny. Don't you dare break anything here." Lumapit ako sa kaniya nang makita kong sabay sabay niyang nilabas ang mga erlenmeyer flask.

"Oh come on, do you think I'll break this babies?" Binaba na niya ito sa table. Kumuha siya ng lab coat pati na rin gloves at sinuot.

"I advice you to wear this 'cause I'm gonna mix Hydrogen Peroxide with Potassium Iodide. It might cause burns because the reaction is exothermic" He requested as he puts the safety goggles.

Nanlaki mga mata ko. "Bakit mo naman naisipan yung na lang gawin? Ang kalat nun." Nagmadali akong isuot yung mga coat at baka biglang magpasabog itong lalaking ito, at least safety first.

"That's all they have and It's wicked to turn this lab in a foamy room party." He smirked as he puts 35% hydrogen peroxide into the Erlenmeyer Flask.

Ang dami!

(DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME AND WITHOUT A PROFESSIONAL TEACHER TO ASSIST)

"Do you want to color this baby or plain white?" He asked as he mixed the liquid soap into the peroxide.

"I want you to stop this, 'di kita tutulungan sa paglilinis." Umupo ako malayo sa paggagawan niya.

"Touché." He pour some green food color. "How about green to represent our school color?"

I watched him as he stirs the Potassium Iodide. I want to go outside to escape from the reaction sadly we have been locked up. Before he pours the Potassium Iodide, he looked at me.

What's his problem?

"This reaction occurs when two or more molecules interact and the molecules change. Bon----

"Bonds between atoms are broken and created to form new molecules blah blah blah. Obviously its chemical reac---" I didn't even finish my answer when he pours the Potassium Iodide to the Hydrogen Peroxide and steps a little back away from the experiment.
