Chapter Twenty-Five

Today, November 9, the preparation for the Science Week. All the members of the Science Club together with the assistance of the Student Council are preparing the booths, the stage, and the program for tomorrow's event.

"Athena!" Irene immediately went to Athena who's commanding Tyler to help other members of the Science Club to carry those boxes. "Oh! Hi, Irene!"

"I am surprised that you're here, akala ko nasa office ka at marami ka daw gagawin sabi ni Minerva."

"Well, I let Ares handle those kinds of stuff since some were issued when I wasn't a student here," Athena explained while reading the science club's request.

"Ares agreed on the paper works?"

Athena seems to notice Irene was surprised, she asked why's that her reaction. "Well, I was once the student council and Ares happened to be the vice-president since he can't be the president cause we're just Grade 7 at that time. There's a time that the president assigns Ares on some paper works but he refuses it and just minds his business. Years had passed, Ares didn't listen to anyone parang siya pa ang president. Kaya I was shocked when you said that."

Athena just shrugged her shoulders, "Maybe they're just scared of Ares? I just thought he's more of a paperwork guy than doing this stuff. Anyways, do I have to do the opening speech?"

"Why? Is there a problem?"

Napakamot sa ulo si Athena, "I'm not used in such attention, can I let someone deliver my speech?" Nahihiya niyang tanong.

Napatawa naman si Irene, "Yun lang? Okay, No problem! Just let me know what you have in mind." Umalis na si Irene para mag-aayos at iniwan si Athena na papunta naman sa Student Council Office.

Pagpasok niya, bumungad sa loob si Ares na nagbabasa pa rin ng mga papeles at si Tyler na naka-upo sa table niya. 

"Pressy!" Halos matumba si Tyler nang makitang bumukas yung pinto at bumungad si Athena. Dali-dali nitong binaba ang kanyang paa na nakataas sa lamesa ng dalaga. Naagaw naman ang atensyon ni Ares nung biglang napasigaw si Tyler.

"What are you doing here? I assigned you to help the Science Club, right?"

"Don't worry, Pressy. Tapos ko na silang tulungan at pinaalis na nila ako baka daw pagpawisan ako kawawa naman daw." Biro ni Tyler.

Umiling na lang si Athena at umupo sa lamesa niya. "Ares, pwedeng ikaw na lang yu--"

"No." Hindi pa natatapos ni Athena yung sinasabi niya ay bigla namang humindi si Ares. Kumunoot ang noo ni Athena at naalala yung sinabi ni Irene.

Ares didn't listen to anyone parang siya pa ang president.

"But I haven't finished what I'm going to say." Her forehead furrowed but the corner of her mouth soon to quirked up. "And didn't you say that it's a blessing to help the president? Are you joking at that time?"

Napatingin sa kaniya si Ares at ngumisi, "Since when did I say that line?"

"When we're in the clinic, have you forgotten that already?" Halata sa tono ni Athena yung pang-aasar. "You said you've help me when I said 'I need you Ares', diba?"

Nagulat ang dalawang lalaki sa sinabi ng dalaga. Napatayo si Ares sa gulat at lumapit naman si Tyler sa kaniya at sinisiko ito habang nakangisi. "Didn't know you have a seductive side, Boss!"

"Stop that!" Napatigil si Tyler sa pag-ngiti at napatingin naman si Athena sa kaniya dahil sa lakas ng sigaw ni Ares habang gumagawa siya ng speech.
