Chapter Thirteen

"Look at what you've done! Now we have a deduction! This is embarrassing!" Inis na sabi ni Ares sa akin.

Nagulat ako sa sinabi niya. How dare he accused me after we got a deduction at the end of the contest!

"What?! Look what 'I' have done? Baka look what YOU'VE done! If only you listened to me and agreed to my strategy then we would win pero HINDI"

Pabalik na kami ngayon sa IQ University by the school's car after the contest. It feels like years kaming nandoon. As much as I miss my alma mater, piling ko gusto ko nang matapos yung paligsahan at layuan si Ares. How UNLUCKY am I, he's my roommate in our university.

"And can you forget that already? We've won, overall champion, kahit na may deduction tayo! What's your problem anyway?"

Umusod na lang ako palayo sa kaniya at humarap na lang sa may bintana. I wouldn't say we're lucky kasi kami lang dito pero nahihiya ako kay Kuya Jude na nagda-drive dahil sa mga nonsense rant ni Ares.

Ares on the other side of the car is still furious about our last performance.

Flashback- DURING THE COMPETITION

"Uhmm..Is there something wrong?" Natanong ko habang palapit sa stage. Bakit ako nitawag nung host? And why's Ares even with the host and smirking?

"Ms. Athena at Mr. Ares, I'm deeply sorry for what Mr. Ken at Ms. Shane have done to the two of you,"

"Wait? What?" Naguguluhang tanong ko. Wala akong natatandaang masamang ginawa sa amin sina Shane at Ken.

"Thankfully, Mr. Ares briefly explained what happened last night and showed a proof." Sabi nung host at parang may kukunin.

Last Night? Nakulong lang kami sa Chem Lab and Ares has a proof?

Pinakita nung host, Mr. Hans, yung video tape.

"Affirmative,"

Boses ni Ares mula sa video at nasa Chem Lab nga yung setting. Sunod na lumabas sa vid ay mukha ko. Halatang naguluhan ako sa video sa biglaang pagtutok nung cam sa akin.

"What ar--?" I was about to say something pero nakita ko sa likod ko ang figure ni Shane na isasara yung pinto at mukhang nahagip sa video.

"And capture." Suddenly, the door closed and the video also stop from playing.

So Ares knew that we're gonna be stuck in that laboratory? And didn't even tell me?

"We're very sorry and we want to let you know that their school is disqualified from this competition. That is all."

"Good to hear that. We wouldn't want that attitude here and it could ruin this competition and the staffs involved, wouldn't we?" Ares agrees

Tumango at umalis na si Mr. Hans at kami ni Ares ang naiwan.

"I told you to not befriend our enemies. I know an enemy once I see one."

"And prepare for the Science Category, you must win." He said and went to the holding area where I stayed while Ares was competing.

Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala sa nangyari. I thought..I thought she's...she's my friend.

I was back to reality when the host makes an announcement telling SHU, Shane and Ken's school, can no longer participate in the next round.

The Science Category is now starting. Ang masasabi ko lang, madali lang naman yung mga tanong. I guess it's basic science in the easy round and the next round is a mixed of Biology and Chemistry that's all.
