Child's Play

Abigail's P.O.V.

            The others had been training Lloyd and I all day and we were both getting tired. During our training, I noticed Lloyd looking at something and I didn't know what. Lloyd looked a bit upset and I wouldn't blame him; all of his life he's been a normal kid, as well as me, but now that we're both the Green and Light Green ninja, things have changed. When we starting to spar the others, Lloyd wasn't being careful of his surroundings and didn't see Cole come in for the hit, causing Lloyd to fall to the ground.

            I helped him up and the girls looked concerned at Lloyd while the guys were wondering why Lloyd isn't concentrating, because for the past few days, Lloyd hasn't been concentrating in the slightest. "That was fun," Lloyd said then asked, "are you done?" "Lloyd, you literally fell to the ground even though your trained not to do that," I said and Julia asked, "Abigail's right, you're better than this, what's going on with you?" "Well...the latest issue of Starfarer just came in at Doomsday comics," Lloyd said to us, "and it's a limited run, so if I don't go over and get it, they'll all be sold out."

           Lloyd is a big fan of Starfarer comic books and he never misses an issue, so, this means the world to him. I think the girls were going to let him get it, until Kai said, "the fate of Ninjago is in yours' and Abigail's hands, you can't just read comic books all day." "Whoa Kai," Katie said then asked, "we have been working Lloyd and Abigail down to the bone, shouldn't we at least give them a break?" "They need to be ready for the final battle," Kai said then Katie said, "but we shouldn't be pushing them, they're still kids."

           For as long as I remember being with the girls, they never push me so much like the guys have been doing with us. "Kai, it's just a stupid comic book," Julia said, "it's not like it's the end of the world, I could go get it for Lloyd." "Julia, Lloyd and Abigail need to be prepare and you want to try them like their seven," Kai said a bit mad then Caroline yelled, "they're nine years old!" That got everyone attentions and Caroline yelled, "you boys may want to train them more, but everyone deserves a break once in a while."

            "Caroline's right," Zabrina said, "pushing someone to the extreme could actually hurt someone." Before the guys could say anything, Nya came running in, yelling, "There's been a break in at the National History museum!" "What?!" Everyone, except for Lloyd and I, yelled shocked and Nya said, "the security cameras picked up you-know-who, entering the museum." Dad must be the you-know-who.

             The others were getting ready to head to the museum and Lloyd asked if he could come with them. They all said no, saying that he isn't ready yet, and since I thought it was unfair that they weren't letting Lloyd come like they let me come, I decided to stay with Lloyd, which the others were okay with. Julia told Lloyd that she'll pick up the comic on the way back, which Lloyd was happy about but the guys weren't. When the others left, Lloyd said/asked angrily, "I'm too old for comics but too young to fight, can't they make up their minds?!"

            "At least we're done training," I said, "be lucky of that." Lloyd and I talked for a while and sometimes we went to hang out with Nya and Nathan, who helped us trained a little. We were expecting to see the others come back sometime soon but they never did. The next day, they still haven't come back and we were all starting to worry. Uncle Wu, Nathan, and Nya then decided to look for the others and asked Lloyd and I, before they left, to keep an eye out to see if the other came back.

              I stayed outside as I waited for the others to come back while Lloyd stayed inside to play video games. I was worried to death about them; what if dad did something to them? What if they're hurt? It wasn't until Lloyd came out, holding a bunch of weapons, and said to me, "the others called: they want us to meet them at Buddy's Pizza in ten minutes." Without delay, Lloyd and I headed over to Buddy's Pizza.
