"Come on Eli!" Stephan called out to his younger brother. There was an urgency in his voice. Something was wrong.
Eli trotted over to Stephan, his legs being to small for the rest of his body.
The two were so young, Stephan being 4 and Eli just turned 1. Their mother ran up from behind grabbing the baby,
"Just go Stephan, I got Eli."
Her face was beat red, beads of sweat caked her face.
Stephan nodded and began to run, and his mother followed.
He didn't know where to go, but he knew they had to leave.
He ran, he legs refused to stop.
He ran and ran, with the only thought of survival in his mind.
'I must live. I must help my family live. We all must live.'
"Honey! Slow down!"
It was his mom.
He obeyed.
"Wow honey," she said. "You can be a professional runner."
Stephan beamed with pride. He would be a runner.
The family continued to run, run for survival.
Stephan's mother ran with Eli bobbing in her arms.
They made it.
They made it into a building.
Their father somehow found them with in a crazy turn of events, and a big reunion was held.

But his father caught it.
He caught the disease that eats at the brain until all your sanity is gone.
Gone.
His father was going to be far past gone.
His mother got infected soon after.
And she had to give her sons away.
To WiCKED.

"My name is Janson. You must be Stephan," a strange man sat in front of Stephan.
"Yes."
"Well, Stephan, here in WiCKED, we like to give out new names. And we picked a very special name for you."
"What is it?"
"Thomas."
All Janson did was nod.
Thomas almost snickered at this. The man resembled a rat. Long face and funny looking nose.
But then Thomas had a thought run through his head.
"What about my brother, Eli. Does he get a name?" Thomas asked.
"Of course!" Janson acted way to enthusiastic, trying to please the young boy.
"What is it?"
"We call him Chuck."
