**Two Years Later**

"Take the time with me tonight, you should come with me tonight. We can feel it free tonight. Nobody gotta know, nobody gotta know." I blasted Why Don't We's new song in my car. Believe it or not, Daniel and I actually got really close. Just friends though. I ended up being good friends with Christina, Corbyn, and Gabbie too. Honestly the whole high school drama wasn't a big deal. After it past it seemed like our personas dropped and we were people.

"I been missing I been crushing on ya all night." I bit my lip, Jonah and I didn't get anywhere after that last day. Before long he and Daniel, Jack, Zach, and Corbyn moved to L.A. and they were making music, they barely made it to their graduations.

Then my music is interrupted with Kenny's caller ID, I swiped to answer, "Hello?" I answered him.

"Hey Ava, you work today?" Kenny asked me.

"No why?" I asked him stopping at a red light.

I heard some shuffling, "Tate, Jason, and I were hoping to have a movie night." He says.

"Sure I don't mind." I said to him. "Hey Kenny, how'd that date go last night?" Yeah Kenny and I broke things off after me and Jonah, he's still my best friend though, so were just fine for us.

I could basically see him rolling his eyes, "It was okay. Not my type of girl though." He replied to me. He's been through a lot of dates but none girlfriend worthy.

"You know if you're gonna keep being picky like this, you're gonna end up alone!" I teased him in a singsong voice.

"I wouldn't be picky if we didn't realize we were better as friends." He said, he knows I feel bad about letting us off. But it's better and everyone knows it. Kenny and I really aren't ever gonna get back together but we can tease each other about it.

I rolled my eyes, "Whatever, I gotta go K, meeting Daniel for some recording thing."

"Okay bye, see you later." He says and hangs up on me.

I park my car and get out to go into the recording studio. Daniel's been helping me with starting up a possible music career, I've only been doing little things, started an official Instagram account for my music and covers, I have a YouTube channel with almost a thousand subscribers. Honestly it's not a rough start.

I go inside and see Daniel who greets me with a hug, "Hey Ava!"

"Hi." I wrapped my arms around him. Daniel rarely gets to be in town so it's great to see him. "Its been so long."

He nods, "It has."

Then the doors open again and it was like a flashback back to my junior year, Jonah walked through the door and the entire world seemed to stop. My heart pounded the same way it used to when I saw him. When he looked at me, butterflies formed in my stomach.

When he's three feet away from me, an awkward tension arose. Until finally we decide to speak, "Hi." We said at the same time.
