New Era

ONE

Hey people! So this is my first fanfic an I hope you guys like it!! Any suggestions and comments are welcome!

It was a rainy day in Montfort. Everyone was trapped inside the castle because of the long rain. Davidson and Carmadon had planned an enormous party ,for all houses, at night and Evangeline, Elane, Gisa and Farley were preparing themselves for the big event. But just one of them wasn't getting ready. Mare.

"Why aren't you getting dressed?" said Gisa, but she paid no attention.
"Mare? MARE?!" screamed Farley.
"What do you guys want?!" Mare answered quite annoyed.
"You need to get dressed for the party!" Eve intervened.
"I don't want to go to this stupid party." said Mare angrily.
"Why are you in this horrible mood Mare? It's because you miss Cal?" Elane teased. Mare grumbled.

After a long period of silence, Gisa had an idea to make Mare attend the celebration.

"Have you girls heard about a jet coming from Norta?" Gisa said loudly.
Instantly Mare turned around and said "When is the jet arriving?"
"Well, someone got excited." Farley whispered to herself.
"Anytime tonight." Eve answered.
"Who's coming?" Mare said excitedly.
"I don't know yet but I think some representatives of Norta" Farley said already thinking what was going on with Mare.
Her eyes winded in surprise for the news.
"Really?"
"Yes..." Eve said.
"Now I'm seeing something good in this party." Mare said happily.
"Ok, but if you want to impress anyone that you're thinking is better for you to get ready very fast because the party starts at eight and now it's seven o'clock. And I also need to check on Clara." Farley said exiting the room.
"Ok!!" said Mare while running to the bathroom to prepare herself. "And there she goes." Eve said laughing.
"But why is she so happy now?" Gisa asked confused.
"It's because Cal is one of the representatives of Norta." Eve said whispering.

One hour later, Mare was still getting ready to the party and Eve, Elane, Gisa and Farley were in the hall of Mare's room waiting for her. Eve was wearing a grey scaled metal dress which she made once she's a magnetron with her grey hair tied up in a bun, Elane had a black and white dress to represent her house, Heaven. Farley wasn't a big fan for dresses so she decided to go with a red overall to represent the Scarlet Guard with her golden hair down.

Soon, Mare appeared in a light purple dress with white sparks that shined in the light. Her hair was over her shoulders with the purple ends all over her back. She also showed her collarbone which was very rare to happen. They were speechless when they saw her.

"Well, I dressed to impress..." Mare said shyly because of their faces.
"You look beautiful Mare!!" Eve said shocked.
"Is it you Mare??"Elane exclaimed.
In the same second, Carmadon showed up in the door.
"Are you ladies ready?!"
"Yes we are but is someone here yet?" Eve questioned.
"No, but soon they will be." he said.
"Then let's go!" Elane said.
"After you Mare" Farley said.

And they headed to the ballroom.

The guests were arriving, and they quickly filled the ballroom. Everyone was with different colors meaning that all the different houses attended the party.

Although the girls were chatting with different people, just Mare wasn't talking to anyone.
Farley approached her to know if something was wrong with her.

"Why aren't you with anyone talking about anything Mare?" Farley asked.
"What..?" Mare said paying no attention.
"Mare, you have been very distracted this late afternoon. What is happening to you?" Farley asked, just to make sure of what was happening to Mare.
"I don't know...I think it's just because Cal maybe come tonight and we haven't talked since I came to Montfort." Mare answered apprehensively.
Kilorn rushed to Mare and Farley, since their conversation seemed interesting.
"What are you girls talking about?" Kilorn interrupted while smiling.
"We were talking about girl things Kilorn you'll never understand." Farley said in a bitter tone.
"Okay ladies...but Mare don't forget to meet me before dinner." Kilorn completed already going away.
"See ya." Mare answered.
"So, do you want to continue the conversation in the balcony?" Farley suggested. "And there we can also see who's arriving..."
"I think it's a good idea Diana." Mare said .
And they both went to see the guests who were arriving.
