I remember when it was quiet and nice and just us. It used to be me and Meliodas. Of course, the other Sins would come around. I never minded them.

Even Diane, we were okay in the end. She understood me and I understood her. She had a small crush on the Captain, but after a while, she was fine with us.

Meliodas and I... we have always been the best we could ever be, never straying away from each other and taking the time to just... breath. We did what we need to, regardless of whether or not it required the other person because when the day is done, we'd come back to one another. The oxygen seemed better around him.

So why does it feel like I'm choking on my own air?

There are footsteps coming down the stairs. It's not quick, more spaced out in no hurry. She was light on her feet. I know it's her because everyone else is already up. Everyone had their little chores to do whilst it was still morning.

"Elizabeth! Good morning, you're looking as great as ever in the uniform!" Meliodas chimes from where he and I are sitting at the table, eating the breakfast Ban had given us before he left for the morning.

I'm starting to think I should've taken his offer and come along with him. I watch as Meliodas sends her a wink, holding up a thumb in her direction. Elizabeth turns to us, face flushed. She changes her gaze from him to me to him again. "Uh... Thank you, Sir Meliodas..." She says nervously, soft voice breaking the silence.

Elizabeth knows. She knows that me and the Captain were close, maybe as close or even more so than him and Ban. I've made it very clear to her and she says that she respects my decision.

She says that she's not trying to steal anybody from anyone, she just wants to get the Deadly Sins together. She meant no harm, I knew that. I told her that I understood, to which I do, at some extent.

But I can't help but feel a little bit jealous of the looks Meliodas hands to her on a silver platter.

"No problem, Elizabeth." He chuckles, scratching the back of his neck as a blush grows on his face. I hated it when that happened.

He would just look at Elizabeth and his cheeks would go up in flames. I didn't mind the first few times, but when it go the the hundredth, I got really sick of it and wanted it to stop happening. I clench my jaw. He used to give me that look.

I sigh, "Hey... um, I'm gonna' go find Ban in the town. Do you want to come? We can go get some food to eat too if you want." I'm faced with no answer. He doesn't turn his attention to me. He stares at the princess who is helping Hawk clean the tables for new customers.

I snap my fingers beside his ear, making the blonde finally look at me. Finally, some attention. I'm not trying to be needy, I just wished he would understand that... well, I'm here to!

"Huh?" He mutters, "What were you saying, Y/N?" I bite down on the inside of my cheek, my brows turning down. He was getting on my nerve. He has been for a while now.

I stand from the table and grasp the edge of the wood. "I'm going to find Ban, do you want to come?" I repeat, voice getting lower. Everyone knows that if your friend's voice drops a few pitches, that means their irritated or just plain mad. Right now, I was plain mad.

Meliodas taps his chin for a second. That makes my heart lift a bit. Maybe we could spend some time together. That would be the first time in a few weeks.
