"Can I get you a drink?" A tall brunette asks me as he approaches me.

We had been at the beach for less than an hour and everyone had already disappeared. Alex had been keeping a eye on me from the bar, but Becca and Harrison were long gone.

What she had told me was replaying in my head like a broken record.

"Let loose and have fun. You deserve a break"

"Um" I reply looking in his direction.

"I promise I won't bite." He jokes as he flashes me a perfectly white smile.

"You know what, sure I'd love a drink" I respond with a small smile.

"What are you in the mood for? Beer, wine or something fruity?"

"I'd love a bourbon" I reply without thinking.

"Gotcha, be right back" he tells me with a wink before jogging off to the bar.

Once again I'm left alone with my thoughts. I wrap my arms around my body and shiver due to my lack of clothing and the slight breeze that had picked up.

I look around the beach to see if I can find Becca or Harrison and freeze when I see a familiar set of hazel eyes. My heart rate had increased and a cold sweat dripped down my back.

"One bourbon" the guy says, appearing next to me and handing me a glass of amber colored liquid.

I glance at him and take the drink with a small smile before my attention goes back to the spot I saw him.

"You okay?" The guy asks noticing my distress.

"Uh, yeah I just thought I saw someone" I reply glancing back at him.

"I'm Colin" he says holding out a hand for me to shake.

"Emery" I respond shaking his extended hand.

A smirk makes its way onto his face as he takes of sip of the Corona in his hand. I roll my eyes at the sight. Typical.

I down my glass of bourbon in one swig and hand him back my glass.

"I'd like another one please"

His eyes widen slightly before his composure goes back to normal. He takes the glass out of my hand and stalks back towards the bar. Becca was right. I needed to let loose.

I glance around at the people surrounding me and an idea pops into my head as Colin makes his way back over to me.

He hands me another glass filled to the brim with bourbon that I down in a matter of seconds.

"I know what we can do!" I say handing him the now empty glass.

His eyebrows raise in amusement.

"Yeah? What's that?"

"Get tattoos! I've always wanted one!"

A smile curves up his lips.

"Okay sure, a buddy of mine owns a parlor not to far from here, since it's your first I'd be honored to pay for it" Colin says with a chuckle.

I squeal and jump around with my hands cupped together.

"Yay! Lead the way pretty boy"

He chuckles again and directs me towards the far end of the beach.

"It's just down there, bout a five minute walk. You up to it?"

"Hells yeah" I shout

Colin chuckles again and places his hand on my lower back as he leads me towards his friends tattoo parlor.
