Hazel's POV
Following around Sung Jae as he 'updated' his wardrobe was the epitome of confusion. This was the third store we went in, and every time without fail he couldn't simply decide, and ended up buying whatever that was presented before him.
"Ah," he roams stretching his long arms, "Your looking at me like your gonna gobble me up, not that I mind."
I scrunch my face and he lets out a chuckle, as we are walking around he leads me into a ravishingly expensive restaurant, The waitress blefing a big artificial smile.
"Welcome to Arnéima Valour, if you have a reservation in place please state your name and contact information." A blonde with a high ponytail details checking her computer, he places a clear card on the counter.
"Oh!" She says looking surprised, "Wait just a moment as I clear a table sir." Confusion filling my mind I decide it's better to ignore.
"She fell for my handsome face." he boasts shamelessly shrugging his arms,
She may have been checking him out, but could you blame her he was just that irresistible, The lady comes back leading us to an upstairs patio handing us the thick menus.
"So tell me what you did?" He accuses me out of nowhere as the waitress puts down our drinks.
"Huh?" I say as I survey dishes, Beans and mushrooms, was that a good combo? It sounded exotic; Edamane bean stuffed mushroom.
"What did you do to make that calculating guy so interested in you?"
I look up from the menu raising an eyebrow, "What do you mean?" I question as he peers at me over his menu.
"I'm just a little curious, since the day I met him he has never taken one of my suggestions into consideration let alone go through with it. It made me think, what would make a guy like him do something so unpredictable? I've been around you all day and I just can't understand." He insists swirling the straw in his drink.
He lays his body on the stone wall taking another drag of his drink, "I don't know, don't you think your reading into it too much." I dismiss quickly, this would've been worse if he mentioned any of this to Nathan, it could possibly jog his memory making my situation as of now seem heavenly in comparison.
"Whatever, it may have been a coincidence, he does calculate his every move so he could possibly have something in place for you." Sung Jae convinces himself before I can say anything.
I hoped that wasn't the case.
"We have to go." He announces getting up.
I didn't even get to eat anything, the aroma of the dishes surrounding me making my stomach grumble loudly. Sung Jae looks my way a smile finding its way on to his face. "Get me the hale fillet with golden beet and a orange jelly parfait to go." He says stopping a waitress,
I beam at him thankful his unnatural straight face unchanging. What was up with him I had plenty decency,
"Gosh, you don't have to be so stingy I'll pay you back." I clear up the air grabbing the bag from the waitress.
The drive back home was eerily quiet, he was behaving way different from his usual flirty nature. Was he mad at me? I don't remember doing anything wrong, I even promised to pay him back. I pick up the receipt from the bag. My eyes almost bulge from its sockets.
It was £1200.00 for the two dishes we ordered. Understanding his moody expression, I felt horrible, I was planning on paying him back but now I wasn't so sure.
