"And don't forget your homework for this weekend! What do you have to practice?" I ask my class as they begin packing up their books and things.

"ANIMALSSSSS!!!!" they all cutely responded back.

I chuckle at the children's adorableness, "Yup! Practice the English vocabulary for animals okay! Have a good weekend everyone!"

"Thank you, Miss Alesha!!" They all stand up from their chairs and bow to me respectfully. 

I smile and wave at all of them and leave ahead of my translator. She catches up with me in the hallway with that familiar perky smile of hers. Miss Kim Donghwa is my translator for my class, helping the students understand what I'm saying, and she's also my closest friend here on the job.

"You're in a hurry to leave." She says with a chuckle.

"It's my first day on my part-time tutoring job that I applied for. I can't be late!"

"Ooh! With...JYPE?" she asks, whispering the company name to me in case of the students around us picking it up.

I nod, "Yup! I find out who I'm tutoring and how they want me to tutor them."

"Wah!~ Good luck! I hope it works out!"

"Thanks! I hope so too!"

We enter the teacher's office and I quickly log in today's report before putting away and packing up my things to leave for the day.

It still feels like a dream that I'm here teaching in South Korea. It was just only last year I graduated from university and now it's been a good semester teaching English so far. I was at first offered to teach high schoolers at a high school or teach elementary schoolers at an elementary school. I decided it'd be easier for me to deal with children as they're pretty easy to deal with and they're still growing. plus, I find kids so cute! Maybe later on in my career though, I'll teach those rowdy high schoolers.

I'm not only an English teacher at an elementary school. On weekends I also tutor English privately to adults. Of course, these jobs don't last long. I've recently completed my tutoring job with this one couple who wanted to perfect their English before they went abroad for a business job. So, today marks the day of my new tutoring job at the famous entertainment company, JYP Entertainment. I'm excited as this tutor job always gets me out of my comfort zone and into meeting new people. I've never tutored a trainee or an idol before so I wonder how it'll be like.

I leave the schoolyard and make my way to the closest bus stop to catch the bus.
