You ever wish you were born in a world where you can wake up after a sudden death? Able to respond and come back like it never happened. She wished she wasn't, hating that after many hard nights she was going to wake up regardless. The bruises from yesterday are gone, not leaving as much as a scar on her toffee skin. She hated it, hated that against her will that whatever god high above would grab her soul as soon as it was leaving her body and push her right back into it. It was getting exhausting, the many attempts and the severe beatings she received on a daily basis. She wanted out of this life and she was going to figure out how.Gone, Gone Girl. You better learn how to face it. She's gone, gone girl.
The sight of the morning sun always irritated her. Something about the radiant ball of light shining down on her had her smacking her lips in distaste. She quickly sat up from her single person mattress, which was lying limply on the floor. Her room is basically bare besides the small plastic dresser and the small clock on top of it. '5:45am.' Releasing a sad sigh she quickly gets up to start her day. Showering and putting on light makeup before fixing her long burgundy hair.
After her morning routine she makes her way into the kitchen, starting the coffee pot before she starts breakfast, a simple american breakfast. Her husband made his way past her and to the coffee pot, pouring himself a cup without a word. And to be frank she preferred life that way. She dishes out his breakfast and sits it in front of him before dishing out her own and placing it in the microwave. She begins to clean up all the dishes she used and wiping down anything that needs to be wiped. The pain in her lower belly was dull but she felt the powerful kick from her unborn child. Continuing to work despite the kicks, she pours more coffee in a thermos before handing it to him as he slips on his shoes. "This place better be spotless before I'm back." She nods as he walks out, locking the door and leaning her body against as she releases a shaky sigh.
It takes a minute for her to sort out her thoughts, the never ending fear of being dragged back to this place made her stomach ache. As much as she hated the man, she had love for him.
"Why do you do this to me?! I give you everything and you constantly do this!" The man yells as he grips the girl's arms tightly. Her eyes are scared but calm as she looks up at him, trying to pull her wrist out of his strong grip. "Calm down, Ty. What's the problem? What happened?" Her voice was shaky as she spoke, but leveled. The man stares at her with a snarl, jumbles of incoherent words as he grips onto the girl tighter. Pushing her smaller body roughly against the door frame behind her. The collision from the door made a crack shoot its way up the girl's spine, a loud yelp leaving her lips as her back arches at the intrusion.
She saw red, before she could gather all of her thoughts she decked the man right in the face. Punching him right on his jaw, taking the man and even herself by surprise. She's never hit him back but today that changed. The look in his eyes was confused before anger took over, he punched her square in the chest before wrapping his hands around her neck. "Why would you do that?! I said I didn't want to hurt you sasha but you make it so fucking hard." The feeling of her life slowly fading away was scary but comforting. But she had to live, not for herself but for them.
The efforts of her trying to free herself from his strong grip went unnoticed, white dots shining in her eyes as she slowly loses consciousness. Tapping his hands constantly to get him to stop was useless, mustering up all the strength she could before the darkness took over, she said.
"I'm pregnant."
Never replace her. She's gone, gone girl.
