All I wanted was your love
and somewhere I could
feel safe to rest my head
a place I could call home
and feel loved
I thought maybe that place
could be with you.
But the more
I was around you
I started learning who you really are
you really messed me up
you had taken away all my happiness
now my safe place is gone.
what I thought we shared
was something good
until I had to face the truth
I marred a beast
that was hiding under sheep covering.
