It rained all afternoon,
the power behind it all
came rushing down on me.
I was only in my teens
when I truly felt the heart bleed
The dark old clouds just kept hovering over me.
Soon I saw the yellow threads of the sun
shining its way through the gray
it wasn't long I started seeing the rays
and I started feeling okay.
