Sorry. Kind of crappy chapter today.

Also shoutout to @JoshuaCrawford3, @dst40018, @CourageousPrincess18, @filiothelion and @habbosweetabbymycah for giving me advice, support and inspiration to finish the book! (I technically got stuck on the chapter called Blind Eyed - future chapter -but I wanted to give them the shout out now because they deserve it) 😊

"Ah-ha! Lion guard! You have all made us very proud of you!" Rafiki yells, swinging his arms up into the air.

The newly formed lion guard couldn't help but smile proudly as they walk up the hill to see Rafiki and Simba. Nyota takes a step forward in front of her team.

"Thank you, Rafiki, grandpa. We didn't see Janja or at least none of the hyenas matched his description from what we've been told by the stories," Nyota begins only to be cut off by Roho.

"There were four younger hyenas who seemed to be giving orders, especially one of the females in particular".

Nyota glares at Roho for interrupting but she turns her attention back to Rafiki and Simba, "He speaks the truth".

Rafiki glances at Simba before turning to look at the ground as he scratches the grey-white hairs on his chin, "These four pups. Without a doubt, they have Janja's leading skills and their mother's fighter spirit. They could be dangerous".

"Agreed," replies Simba, "Lion Guard, you must be careful. I want you to learn what you can from Kion's lion guard before you take full responsibility for protecting these lands. I believe their marks will fade when you are ready".

Nyota nods. "I will tell my dad the situation as soon as he returns".

The group returns to PrideRock and wait for the arrival of Kion and his team. Kion and Fuli were relieved to see their son and daughter unharmed but after learning of the day's events, they became worried about this new threat. As Simba had suggested, Kion, Fuli, Bunga, Beshte and Ono agreed to help Nyota's team train to become better and stronger. Soon enough the sun sets and everyone returns home.

Kion and Fuli arrive at their den with Nyota and Siku. Fuli lays beside her mate and nuzzles him affectionately. Nyota and Siku lay close to their parents but not too close. They say they are 'grown-ups' now.

"Goodnight kids," says Fuli, licking their foreheads.

"Don't let the bed bugs bite," continues Kion.

"Goodnight mum. Goodnight dad," reply Nyota and Siku.

Kion licks Fuli's cheek before they snuggle close and fall asleep. Nyota rests her head on her paws as she too falls asleep. Siku tries to get to sleep but he couldn't stop tossing and turning. He couldn't stop thinking about the hyena's dark coloured fur and bright red eyes and the way they locked eyes and how his heart felt why they were so close.

Wait...he was thinking about a hyena?!

Siku mentally slaps himself in the face. He couldn't help but think of this as some sort betrayal. It is, right?

He covers his face with his paws and tries to get the image out of his head. It's not she'd be interested in him anyway and it's something he shouldn't risk his life for.

Siku looks out into the distance through the den's entrance, "I'm gonna hate myself for his".

He gets up and quietly leaves the den, being sure not to accidentally step on his sister's tail. Once he was sure, no one was around, he runs. He runs as fast as he can towards the Outlands only stopping to hunt a rabbit to hopefully accept a truce with Hasira.

Siku cautiously crosses the border, carefully making his way to hyena territory. As he nears the volcano, he hides in the shadows. He looks at the big stone wall that marks the edge of the hyena's turf. He tries to see who was guarding the wall or if anyone was guarding it at all. Siku gently kicks a small rock at the wall and it hits it with a tap!

A small head appears over the wall, red eyes practically glowing in the dark.

She growls, "Who's there?!"

Siku slowly creeps out of the shadows. The only light to give him away was the moon.

"Hey, Hasira. I wanted to talk to you," Siku admits.

"Oh, it's you. The speedy one right?" She says hostile.

"Y-yes. Siku," he replies.

"Siku hmm? I didn't know that the lion guard stop by enemy territory for a chat".

"Well, um, maybe only just this once".

Hasira looks at her claws, clearly getting tired of his stalling, "You're wasting my time Speedy".

Siku goes back into the shadows and comes back with the rabbit he hunted. Hasira looks at the rabbit, then at Siku with eyes widened slightly in confusion.

"Will this be enough to ask for a truce just for tonight?" Siku asks, giving her a small smile.

Hasira slowly climbs down from the stone wall and edges towards him. Her stomach growls, hungry for the rabbit. She had refused to eat earlier. 'The clan comes first. Always'.

"I suppose I will let you go unharmed just this once," says Hasira as she begins to eat.

Siku smiles. Maybe with time, this could work but it was a long shot and he knew that. Only time will tell.

Rafiki hums a tune as he paints on the smooth bark of his tree. A harsh breeze makes him shiver. He turns and looks at the rushing leaves and feathers being carried by the wind.

"Mufasa?" he asks.

The wind rushes through the tree, making several baobabs fall and crack.

"Ey ey! Slow down! What's got you all riled up?"

The wind dances around in the air, forming shapes as it whispers in the old mandril's ear.

"I...I don't understand. Stay out of it? But this could mean chaos. What of the two brothers? Mufasa...for once I don't understand but...I hope you know what you're doing. I don't like this one bit".
