"Hold on, guys. Thea just texted. Can she and Lily come over?" Penny glanced up from her phone, gauging the reaction of the other girls, seeing them all nod.
"Of course! Let me text my little and see if she wants to come over too!" Alice jumped up to get her phone from the counter.
"They can drink more of that Wild Turkey since we're making our way through this wine." Viv chuckled, holding her bottle up to the light to see that she's almost halfway done with it.
"Okay, Thea and Lily are on their way! Oh my gosh, you guys, I can't wait to see who Lily gets as her little and to add to the fam. #RoyalFam for the win!!" Penny chugged some wine, causing everyone to laugh at her.
"Boo. Brynn said she couldn't come over," Alice sighed, dropping her phone. "Should we wait to continue this conversation about getting you a boyfriend until your little and g-little get here, Pen?"
"Yeah, we can wait. They know all about the bucket list, and they'll definitely want to help me complete it. They should be here in just a few minutes; they were at Evelyn's apartment." Everyone except for Viv rolled their eyes at the mention of Evelyn, evidently not their favorite person in the house.
"Is she still salty that her actual sister didn't end up in her Kappa fam?" Jules rolled her eyes, again, over the drama that Evelyn caused.
"Yeah," Penny sighed, "which sucks because we used to be great friends up until Lily ended up as Thea's little. It's petty, though, and like I want to be friends with her again, so I'm hoping she gets over it soon."
"Have you talked to her yet this year?" Viv was constantly trying to play peacemaker, knowing that no matter how much shit her friends talk about Evelyn being petty, they all want to be friends again.
"Actually, no, I haven't. We were in different groups today, so I didn't get to see her much. Maybe this summer she was able to move on from it. I know that she was really hoping Lily would end up in her fam and that she was super disappointed when it didn't happen, which I totally get, but let's be honest, Evelyn's little and Lily did not mesh, at all."
"Oh my god!" Alice burst out laughing, "do you remember how awkward that was? We ended up getting froyo at the same time that they were on their date. I was so uncomfortable just watching it happen. I can't imagine actually being a part of it." All of the girls burst out laughing at the memory, only to be interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Come in!" Viv yelled, knowing that none of them would have felt like getting up and moving.
"Mom!" Thea screamed, running over and tackling Penny. "I've missed you! Why didn't I see you like at all today?"
"Calm down, kid. You know how pre-recruitment works in that it never works like you want it to. I'm running workshops, and you just haven't gotten to mine yet." Thea finally got off Penny, making room for Lily to come over and hug her.
"Penny's child, Penny's grandchild," Vivian addressed both of them as they made their way around, giving all the girls hugs.
"We've got some Wild Turkey and coke in the fridge if you guys want some, cups are in the cabinet!"
"Thanks Alice!" Lily grinned, still not used to the antics of these girls even after a year.
"Seriously, Pen?" Thea chuckled after opening the fridge. "All you have in here is booze, coke, and leftovers. And you don't even have a couch. Get it together, please."
"Oh shut up, we're going shopping this weekend. We don't need a whole lot this week since we're at the house all day every day."
"Okay, okay, now that we're all here, it's time to have the most important discussion. The Bucket List!!" Everyone cheered, knowing that this was bound to be an interesting conversation and turned their attention to Alice, who usually starts these conversations.
