"Do you think it's time we go to class?" Vivian asked, looking at her roommates. They were all still in their pajamas, curled up and cuddling on the couch that finally got delivered.

"Yeah, we should, but I don't want to." Alice mumbled, drinking her hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps. They hadn't left their apartment in four days, not since they got home after hearing the news about Georgia. The police have stopped by, as they did with all the girls who lived out house.

"I'm terrified to leave this apartment." Penny whispered, snuggling closer to her roommates. "They haven't found him yet; they have no clue why he did it. How do we know we're safe?"

"Alright, that's enough." Vivian slapped her thighs and stood up off the couch. "We can't live like this, you guys. We've barely moved off this couch in 4 days. We've ordered takeout to avoid going to the store, told the delivery man to knock and leave it outside the door and leave so we don't have to interact with anyone. We've barely changed, barely showered, barely functioned. Do you remember what Kayle said? That the only way for Georgia to live on is for each of us to live our lives the way she would have wanted us to? What do you think she'd do if she was here and saw us living like this?"

"She'd smack each of us in the face," Juliet chuckled, sniffling and trying to hold back the tears that threatened to escape at the thought of Georgia. None of them had been too far away from tears these past couple days.

"That's right! She'd smack us. She would yell at us that we're wasting what little time we have on earth, that we're throwing away our lives and missing out on amazing moments. Georgia saw the best in everything; she lived for each and every day and truly believed that each day could be magical. Well, I hate to break it to you, but our last four days have been anything but magical."

"Look, Viv, I know your right," Alice sat up, placing her mug on the coffee table. "But it doesn't change the fact that we're absolutely terrified."

"I know it doesn't. So, we're going to get self-defense tools: pepper spray and pocket knives and even tasers. We're going to go to Walmart right now and buy something that can be used to protect us. Because sitting here, not moving, not going to class, not doing anything, it's not protecting us. It's letting whoever did this win. It's letting him take away our lives without actually killing us. We have to stand up for ourselves."

"She's right. Viv, you're right. We need to be brave. We need to be strong. If not for anything else, we need to do it for Georgia. We need to embody a part of her spirit that allows us to carry her with us. I'm terrified, but let's do this. Viv, you're driving. I'm taking a shower." With that, Penny got off the couch and made her way to the bathroom. The other three girls just looked at each other, knowing they had to do this but not a single one of them wanting to.

"We should each make a bucket list." Their attention was drawn to Jules at this bizarre statement. "I know that we poke fun at Penny for it, but it's a good idea. Even if it's just one item, we should each come up with our own, one thing we want to do to experience senior year the way Georgia would want us to. Oh, come on, you guys!" She complained when they still looked at her skeptically. "You know just as well as I did that Georgia loved the bucket list idea. She thought it was brilliant. Penny has something to focus on to help her move through this, we each need that, too."

"That's actually a perfect idea, Jules. I never thought about that, but having something to focus on will be good for us. We can brainstorm on the way to Walmart, but for now, I'm going to steal the other shower before either of you try to snag it." Alice got up from the couch and ran to the bathroom before Viv and Jules could realize that they had to wait to shower second.
