**Content Warning - Murder Scene** - I'll put a warning before it starts later in the chapter, too

Penny shut the door behind her, staring into space with a goofy smile on her face, not noticing her three roommates, Thea and Lily staring at her in confusion from the living room.

"Oh my god," Alice whispered, not loud enough to pull Penny out of la-la land, but loud enough to capture the attention of the other girls who gave her confused looks.

With an amused look on her face, Alice took one more second to let Penny live in her daydream before saying, in a slightly louder than normal voice, "Penny got kissed!"

Startled, Penny tripped and slid down the door, landing in a heap on her butt with a thud, just now realizing she wasn't alone. The other girls started giggling, making jokes about how Penny finally got kissed. Finally, getting to her feet, Penny ran over to them, excitedly telling them every detail about her date and how amazing she thought Nate was.

He finally left his spot across the parking lot after Penny went inside her apartment, and that reprobate left. He had to do something. Not only something to get Penny to see that she belonged with him, but also something to get over this anger before he saw Penny again. He just wanted to grab her by her throat and shake some sense into her. She was his. She belonged to him and only him. She shouldn't be going around kissing anyone that wasn't him; she was better than that. But he couldn't do that to his Penny, as much as he wanted to, he couldn't. He knew, though, that if he didn't find someplace to get rid of all this anger, he would end up doing exactly that, and the last thing he wanted was to scare his beautiful princess.

He usually left when his anger got the best of him like this. He'd drive as far away as he possibly could before it consumed him. He never wanted to scare Penny with the way his anger can take over. This time, though, he has to figure something out. He can't just leave, especially not after what he just witnessed. She was such a fool for thinking that mongrel could give her everything she needs. He was the only one who could give her everything she needs and more, the only one who's worthy of her, and he needs to make sure she knows it. Getting in a cab, he headed to the Capitol Hill area where there's bound to be plenty of nightclubs and people for him to get lost in the crowd. So many people makes it easy to do so many things unnoticed; that was his favorite part about big cities.

Finally, he found a good nightclub that appeared to be bustling with college kids. He took off his glasses and put on his contacts in the cab, making him look a little bit younger, and ruffled his hair. He'd always been told he was extremely attractive, and in times like these, he knew how to use it to his advantage. Clenching and unclenching his fists, he walked to the bar, finding a spot towards the end where he could observe the whole bar. His breath caught in his throat when a beautiful girl walked in, looking to be about Penny's age. They looked so similar, the hair, the smile. This was her; this was the girl he could pretend was Penny for the night. As she started to get closer, he took slow breaths, attempting to control his excitement and anger that was threatening to boil over in a dangerous mix.

He clenched his fist, digging his nails into his palms while closing his eyes and taking slow, deliberate breaths. She was just a few feet away now, so he slid over, making sure there was an open gap that she could slide into. He caught her looking him up and down as she stepped up to the bar, trying to subtly point him out to her friends. This is good, he thought, she's already interested. He took in a deep breath, trying to calm himself, and imagined her smelling like Penny would after using those bath salts he gave her. He pictured her in the bath, the candle lit, bubbles covering her body while she looked at him with cheeks rosy from the heat and playful eyes. Penny was his; he deserved to be with her. But she could never see his anger, that's why he had to do this. He was doing this for her. So that they could be together. He wasn't going to do anything with this girl, he would never disrespect Penny like that, not the way she disrespected him. He could feel his anger rising once again and looked at this new girl ordering a drink, forcing himself to picture Penny in her place.
