"That smile that you gave me even when you felt like dying"

Not every "in love with your best friend" story has a happy ending
~Mariana
Corbyn's health was nonexistent. He no longer ate. He didn't sleep. The bags under his eyes could tell you just how much sleep he was getting. His cloths no longer fit his body. He hid under baggy clothes.
Corbyn was on fire. His arms and thighs were littered with scars. His eyes were constantly puffy and bloodshot. Corbyn was the fire that kept everyone warm. He set himself on fire to keep everyone around him warm. And it was absolutely killing him. Yet No one seemed to notice it. He faked everything to keep everyone around him at ease. He didn't want others to worry about him.
But Corbyn was screaming for help. He wanted help. He needed help. He was screaming for anyone at this point. For anyone to notice he was dying in his mind. For anyone to notice he wasn't okay. That he wasn't fine. That his smile was fake. That Corbyn wasn't okay and that it was okay to not be okay. He needed reassurance that he wasn't alone. That he had people there for him. That people love him. But no one said a damn word. Something they would end up regretting. Because in the end, they would all be too late.
Everyone was so caught up in their happiness, in their relationship, in their own dreams, so caught up in their life that they didn't notice Corbyn. And how he was screaming in silence.
